Your POV

"Not unless one of us is going with you." I blink rapidly at Loki's suggestion. "Excuse me, what? "

He leans against the door frame and makes it clear. "I can't...er...we can't let you wander alone. Especially since you've had quite a night." I turn my head to Thor who's nodding in agreement with his brother's reason and divert my attention back to Loki.

I know I'm not gonna break away easily from merely talking my way out of this. Persuasive as they are, but they just care about my safety. I sigh and wrap my arms around myself. "Which one of you then? You both could come along."

"Thor would be very happy to accompany you." Loki infers and somehow, regardless of the things that's happened between us, I kind of wanted him to do it instead.

Thor's eyes widen and he shakes his head. "I think I might have to hand you this one, brother." He willingly shifts the task to his younger brother who's got his eyes wide open upon hearing him. He hums and looks down at me, as if he's waiting for my approval.

"Fine with me." I shrug nonchalantly all the while repressing a blush from spreading on my face. I place my hand on the knob and begin turning it until, "We're forgetting one tiny bit though." Loki coughs roughly.

"What?"

He tilts his neck to the side and brushes the ends of his hair away, revealing the shocking disc still stuck on his skin. "Five hundred meters out and I'm toast."

Yikes, right.

Thor snorts in an attempt to hold back a laugh. "I'll go reason out with Stark to let you go once, brother."

Loki nods at him, thanking him for volunteering. I can tell the rest of my night's going to be eventful.

Later

Thor told us Tony hesitated to disable the disc at first but eventually he was  able to get through to him when he told him that I would be needing somebody to accompany me while I take a walk out. Tony, of course, remained cautious with a crystal clear warning that if ever, and he second guessed, Loki makes a run for it he will flip.

He sounded like a dad when he strictly instructed Thor to make sure Loki and I get back before 1 am, as if we're untrusted teenagers with plans to commit a crime under the radar.

Loki and I walk along the barely crowded streets in total silence, the atmosphere between us making me recoil internally from the tension.

I can't help but stifle a grin from what he decided to wear to this casual walk around the city. While I'm clad in a simple coat, he decided to pull off an all black, semi formal attire. From his black dress shirt down to his shoes, he's camouflaged into the night.

I feel like I'm walking beside an age old vampire.

I have to question his style right now. "Loki."

He hums, peering down at me. I halt in my tracks and gesture to all of him. "What's with the get-up?" He looks at himself and arches a slick brow at me. Is he sassing me right now?

"What get-up? This is my casual attire. Though it's an illusion."

Despite it being questionable, he looks really good though. The buttons of his dress shirt are the most hardworking I've ever seen, trying to prevent his well-defined pecs from ruining such a fine piece of clothing. And the way the rest of his attire hugs his body– what is life right now?

I snap out and snort, walking ahead as
I let the grin I was holding back earlier form freely on my face. "If you say so." He catches up with me and tucks his hands behind his back. "Should I cast this illusion aside? "
