Your POV

Natasha and I enter the elevator and she taps the respective button
for the penthouse. The elevator closes and we ascend.

"Do you want to drink when we get there? " She asks and I look at her, quite stunned. "What's the occasion? "

"Does there really have to be an occasion, Y/N?" She chuckles at my little mishap and I grin ridiculously, smacking my lips. "Okay. We'll drink then." Soon after, the elevator pings open and we expect the quiet, breezy yet empty space of the living area to greet us in only to be welcomed by a certain lean, black-haired man having an altercation with a jacked, blonde-haired man in the middle of the place.

Natasha and I drop our duffel bags in unison and exchange gaping looks before diving in to interject and prevent the two from brawling.

I separate the two idiots from the dangerous proximity they were putting themselves in and yell.

"Boys!" Their bickering dies down and Natasha shoots an icy glower at the two of them. "Explain yourselves. " She snaps and Thor starts with a huff. "We were just discussing a matter and disagreed on some things."

I scoff incredulously at them both. "Seriously? You were about to rip each others' throats out just because of some disagreement?"

They stay silent and I add. "Quit being so immature and just talk it out! You don't need to prove a point by acting like an alpha."

"Please stay out of this, Y/N." Out of my expectations, Loki mutters sternly from behind me and I turn around, raising a brow at him. "Nat and I were just to trying to avoid what could have been an unnecessary fight between you and your brother." I state as a matter of fact yet he scoffs at me, as if my concerns meant nothing to him.

"As if you care!" He snaps angrily, taking me utterly by surprise.

I can't help but retaliate a word. "I care enough for the damage you could've brought upon yourselves!" He doesn't respond upon seeing me seethe in mild irritation. I recollect myself and sigh harshly, facing away from him. Nat and Thor look at me worriedly but I walk out of the living area with nothing else to say and head directly to the bathroom to calm myself.

I lock the door behind me and notice the fire crackling in my hands. I face the mirror by the sink and regulate my breathing pattern, slowly getting rid of the flames around my hands.

I should be fine. All I gotta do is just...breathe.

Breathe, they say.

Y/N, sweetie. Just breathe, alright? Your fire is showing.

You need to cool down, as you Midgardians say. Your fire was showing.

I put my head against the cold mirror and exhale softly.

"Y/N? You alright in there?" Thor's voice echoes from outside the door and I compose myself. "Yeah. I'll be out."

I dust my hands together and open the door, revealing Thor slumping awkwardly. "Hey."

I nod at him as a greeting. "You and Loki made up? "

He shakes his head and shifts his stance. "Not yet but Agent Romanoff is is giving him a stern talk."  I recline my body against the door frame and smirk. "What were you talking about in the first place?"

"Something that my father addressed."

"Well what was it?" I know I seem nosy but there's gotta be something iffy that triggered such an argument. He runs a hand through his golden hair and begins. "A bargain I initially made with my father regarding Loki's judgement. That if I promptly return to Asgard with my brother, he would pass me the mantle as king."
