Your POV
Willow takes a sip out of her mug and moans in delight of tasting the warmth of the drink. "So...what are the men in your work like?" I thought we would be over this. I stir my drink and huff underneath my breath. "I'm not gonna talk about the boys' in that manner."
"Oh come on," I swear, this woman and inner gossip, "it won't hurt to give me a firm description."
"Firm." I utter the word as if an expletive. If it will shut her up then, okay. I bite my lower lip and avert my wary eyes at her. She's really hanging on to it.
"Well, the Cap– Steve – he's a certified patriot. Warm, friendly, polite, conventional and sort of the ideal man." She squeals at the very end of my description and I flash a crooked smile.
She gestures me to go on and I reluctantly do so. "Mr. Stark, he's sort of how the media portrayed him to be but with a bigger heart. There's Clint, he's got a good eye. I don't know if that applies to what he does professionally or what he does to ladies but he's got a good eye," I swallow the lump in my throat and continue, "Dr. Banner, he's that awkward yet kind hearted genius that doesn't turn into a big, green guy if nothing pisses him off and there's Thor." I pause to take a sip out of my mug and resume. She looks like she's on cloud nine hearing my description. I breathe in and open my mouth to talk but get interrupted by another knock on the door. Willow and I exchange odd looks before I proceed to answer the knock.
I look through the peephole and nearly get a heart attack as the sight of Thor staring back into the peephole from outside welcomes me. I open it and get greeted by a bone-crushing hug from the god of thunder. I gasp for air within his crushing embrace and he releases me, apologizing for that.
"M-man, Thor. What brings you here? " I crack my back from the embrace I just took on. "I just wanted to notify you that I'll be off to Asgard to attend to a matter."
Oh.
"That's neat and all but," I can't believe I'm about to ask this, "what about Loki?"
He raises his brows at me. "He's not going anywhere. Besides, if I bring him back to Asgard he'll be put to trial immediately."
"But you'll be back, right? " I ask, a little worried for the guy. He evokes a casual chuckle and shoves his hands into his pockets. "Of course. I won't be long and, could you maybe, check on my brother every once in a while?" He asks as a favor and I buffer before replying with a little fear hidden behind.
"I will. Travel safe, Thor."
He briefly hugs me again and I wave at him as he exits the room. The realization that I have to keep an eye on Loki hits me hard like a wave and I close the door, walking back to the kitchen.
On cue, the bathroom door opens and Willow emerges from it. "Who was that? " She asks as she undoes the hem of her shirt. I wave my hand dismissively. "Thor."
"THOR?! "
I flinch from her dog-whistle like shrill.
"No need to squeak, jeez." She apologizes underneath her breath, making her way to the table. "What did he want? "I smack my lips, glancing around. "He's got something to take care of in his homeland and favored me to check up on his...brother in the meantime."
The curiosity in her eyes glimmer and I know what she's about to ask. "Who's this brother of his? " Called it. I stand up and dispose my cup in the sink. "Loki. You ever heard of him? "
"Norse mythology?"
I turn on the tap and rinse the used cup. "Yeah."
"Huh, so two gods are part of the Avengers. That's quite exciting."
