Second Person's POV

The game you had with Willow and the rest of the girls that stayed behind jarred you with cramps from all the jumping and diving done.

However exhilarating, you wish you took it easy on the first round. By now, the others have returned from their little trek around the village and you all decide to call it a day and prepare to go home. Hours after packing up and filling the vehicles with your belongings, you bid the friends you've made a heartwarming goodbye and promise to contact each other as you're apart.

Liam gives you a warm hug just as he is about to enter his own car. "It was great hanging out with you, Y/N. You're pretty cool." He ruffles your hair and you gently slap his hand away. "You're cool too, Liam. I'll see you soon."

"You too. " He winks playfully at you and proceeds to climb into his car. You get in yours and Willow's after stuffing your backpack into the backseat and she twists the ignition, giving you a sweet smile before advancing to the road.

"Refreshed from the thing?" She asks, another buoyant smile taking form on her lips. Allowing yourself to savour the moments of respite you had to spoil back in Greenwood, you let your body sink into the leathery feeling of the seat. "Very. Thanks for the company, Willow. I needed one."

"Anytime. I'm just glad you and fun. We haven't had that much fun in years."

"We certainly didn't."

The unfortunate sound of your phone shrilling makes you wish you had left it at home in the first place to enjoy the unrealistic atmosphere of the lake. Driven to stop the ringing, you pick up and sigh blatantly into the speaker.

"Yes?" You question gruffly.

"How's your trip out?"

Your jaw hangs effortlessly at the sound of Tony's voice forcing the colour in your face to drain. You clear your throat and respond in a more laid-back tone. "Hey Tony! Yeah, it was something. Got me exhausted."

"That's good to hear. I hope I'm not disturbing or anything. Just wanted to know when you're gonna be back."

You catch Willow giving you a wide-eyed look and you unknowingly hand her one in return. "Uh, I'm headed home now."

She bobs her head slightly and turns her attention back to the highway.

"Great. You get home safe, alright? Text me when you get home."

His preview of deep concern gets you soft. "I will. See you later."

"Bye."  You hang up first and shove your phone back into your pocket, kicking back against the seat. The drive back takes another lengthy thrust as you put on some music on the radio on the dashboard.

The tempo of the song provokes you to bob your head slightly and drum your finger on the window, mimicking the beat of it as it fills the atmosphere of the car. You wistfully look out the window once more and gaze at the sky bursting in warm colors in which a smile grows on your lips upon seeing such a breathtaking piece of art

"Do you miss him?" Willow asks but you don't turn to her. Instead, you bring your knees up to your chest, rubbing your arm and sagging your shoulders depressingly. "Badly."

"You'll get through it... Oh you gotta be kidding me!" Her sympathetic tone transitions to a frustrated boom as the car slows down in the middle of the road. You take a peep at the gas tank and find the hand rapidly declining to 'Empty'.
