Loki's POV

We enter a building that is just next to the Avengers Tower and walk right in to the elevator. Y/N is oddly inebriated in Thor's muscular hold and I can't help but feel the slightest envy for my brother who is every bit as privileged to hold her in a way she might be comfortable with.

I can't even begin to describe the things I felt when I kissed her that night.

We enter the elevator and the door slides close, indicating the beginning of our ascent. I stand next to my brother in total silence until, "I am still sorry though." He muses and I tilt my head up a little. "I forgive you, alright?"

He looks at me with a soft smile plastered on his face and it's just, however thoughtful, making me uncomfortable at this moment. The door slides open and we step into a brightly decorated hallway.

"Well, do you know where her quarters are? " I ask Thor with one brow lifted and his eyes light up as he lays eyes on a door that has the number 016 above it.

"That one." He gestures to it and trudges towards it, kicking it open afterwards. I trail in behind him and we saunter casually into the room without bothering to turn on the lights. I close the door behind me and let the darkness roam free.

"Seriously Loki?" He interrogates and I back up defensively. "What? "

"Turn on the lights." He hisses and I don't take it lightly when he does that. I mumble beneath my breath as I begin searching the wall next to the door for the light switch. "Loki, do this. Loki do that."

"I can hear you pretty well." He reminds flatly and I snap at him, finally feeling the switch beneath my fingers. I flick it and shed light on the room. Thor lays the sozzled, mortal girl gently on the sheets of her bed and tucks a loose strand of her hair behind her ear, softly placing his palm on her forehead.

I don't know what I should be doing except stand immobile and watch him caress her forehead fondly as if he's got a huge responsibility with her.

Plus I've been so busy with watching  Thor handle her gently that I haven't noticed my fists clenching at what I'm feeling.

"Brother, " he muses and I look up at him. "Please stay next to her for a bit while I go prepare something hot for her to drink." He relieves the bed of his weight and beckons me over to Y/N's side. I muster up the heart to take Thor's spot on her bed and lay her head over my shoulder, letting her relax completely.

Thor disappears into the kitchen, leaving me utterly in charge, for now.

I gaze at the unconscious, intoxicated girl next to me, brushing my thumb across her refined cheeks. She nuzzles close to me and wraps her arm around my torso, taking me by surprise.

Oh dear Y/N. If only you really knew the enchantment you put me in when we're together. Sadly I ruined such a chance by diving in to something reckless just because I beheld the  glimmer in your eyes as we held each other under the moonlit sky.

The scar her emerging heat left on my chest didn't really matter at all. So was my stab wound. I took the hit for her because I wanted to and I admit I questioned why I was compelled to shove her out of the way in the first place but eventually it dawned on me.

I can't believe I'm about to think this but she's become my vulnerability. I'm emotionally vulnerable around her and she's my fiery counterpart.

"You caught my eye, Y/N." I whisper weakly in her ear, taking advantage of her inability to respond to my words. She buries her face in the base of my neck and it sends shivers down my spine. I wrap my arm around her and pull her closer to me, planting a gentle kiss on her forehead and not caring if Thor marked that spot first.
