Yoongi's POV

She didn't send him a selfie the next day. He checked his phone all day, anxiety mounting when it reached evening. He texted her but got no response. He tried calling but it went to voicemail. He shut himself up in his hotel room and got no sleep.

He didn't know she'd been forcibly taken from Suwon. He didn't know his uncle tried to force her to enroll in a degree program she didn't want. He didn't know she'd stood her ground and insisted on majoring in something different, a perfectly reasonable request. He didn't know his uncle had tried threatening her. He didn't know the balance of power had shifted because she'd lost her temper and outplayed his uncle. She'd just kill herself. His uncle was powerless. His uncle had overplayed his hand. She walked out of there with the upper hand and the knowledge that she had it. He didn't know she'd felt the terror hit her when she got home and had curled up in the entry way for hours, bawling. He didn't know how much energy it took to get Mark to stop asking questions.

It was early in the morning before he got a text saying she was okay and sorry. She didn't reply to any further frantic texts, He was exhausted.

Hoseok was watching. And Hoseok was figuring something out. Later that day he approached his friend.

"Are you okay?"

"She didn't respond for a whole day and she's ignoring me again."

"You think something happened?" Yoongi hesitated, then nodded.

"Neh."

"Suga..." Hoseok's voice trailed off and his silence eventually drew Yoongi's attention.

"Bwa?"

"Suga do..." Hoseok ran his fingers through his hair nervously. "How do you feel about her?" Yoongi looked surprised.

"She's my responsibility, obviously. She has no one."

"Are you...are you sure that's it?" Hoseok asked softly. Yoongi's face froze.

"Neh." He said firmly and walked off.
