It's been two days since my departure from Chillview.

So far, we haven't encountered any enemies. It was peaceful the whole ride.

During the ride to the next town, I decided to take a look at my stats.

My stats were rising up quite nicely. I didn't kill any of those adventurers nor did I kill Thomas, but it seems that turning his men into zombies and sicking them on him leveled me up anyway.

That's actually pretty convenient. I can level up by letting my lackeys do it without getting my hands dirty.

I'm not sure how that even works, but I wasn't going to sweat it.

But that Necromancy Magic is really something. At first, I didn't know how to use it until I just thought about zombies rising from the dead.

Yeah, that's all I needed to think about. I also had to pour my mana into them for it to work, but the normal process for this would've taken days to use on a first try.

That's how complicated magic can be. Especially stronger and dangerous ones like Necromancy Magic.

I'm still surprised that I was able to make all those zombies in one go. I thought there was a limit or something to how many I can make, but it actually depends on the amount of mana I have.

There were about close to fifty to sixty adventurers at that base. Raising a couple zombies would require a lot of mana to use, so if I could bring back all of them instantly, that means I have a bunch of mana stored.

To top it off, raising the dead wasn't all that Necromancy Magic was capable of. I learned that there was a spell called [Vampiric Touch].

This spell lets me drain the health, stamina, and mana of anyone I touch and resupply my own. I really don't need this kind of spell since I don't get tired, lose a lot of health, or lose a lot of mana, but it'll come in handy for when I want to drain my enemy to the point of killing them.

Leaving that aside, I also learned something pretty cool. It's a spell called [Soul Extraction].

[Soul Extraction] is just what the name suggests. It takes out someone's soul.

I heard from Amy that a soul was a powerful source of energy because its where all the mana is stored. Not only that, but the mana stored in the soul was more concentrated and pure.

It's one of the reasons why Necromancers raise so many dead bodies back to life despite having to spend so much mana. They take the souls of the living and apply it to the dead.
