Chapter 131: Mind Games

As I entered the void again, I found myself in a familiar dark room.

Standing in front of me was an old foe of mine. It was the black beast.

It soon noticed me and gave me a shocked expression.

"I-impossible! How are you here?!" It exclaimed.

"You didn't do a good job keeping me away~," I told it with a sinister smile. "You and I have some unfinished business, you know~"

Staring at this bastard was already making my blood boil. I'm really going to enjoy beating this freak of nature senseless.

The black beast got a little nervous by my reply. It backed away from me with a scared expression.

It then started to get angry.

"Y-you think that this will change anything? Don't screw with me! Nothing's changed! You're still a weak pathetic human!"

As it said this, shadows started forming around me. They then started to resemble my family, which were Amy, Vlad, and Thana.

"Weak little master~"

"You're nothing to me, Damien."

"I can't believe that someone as weak as you is my master. How vexing~"

Instead of getting hurt by their words, I simply smiled. It wasn't a sinister or even gloomy smile.

It was a smile filled with joy and happiness.

"How about you guys take a hike? You're not even real, so get lost." I didn't yell or demanded, I simply told them off.

They were surprised by this, but soon turned back into shadows and disappeared.

The black beast was outraged by this.

"T-this doesn't change anything! So what if you can perceive my tricks? I still have plenty up my sleeve!"

"Quite the daring attitude, huh? But, can you really back it up?" I taunted.

"Shut up!" It then charged and lashed out at me.

Its claws were about a couple centimeters from my face. However, I quickly stepped back before I got cut.

The beast tried to slash me again, but I kept evading its attack.

"Stop moving, bastard!"

"What's the matter? Can't hit me?" I mocked the beast more.

"Dammit, just die already!"

"Nope~ Don't wanna~"

The beast then slammed the ground and a massive wave of black smoke appeared and obscured my vision. I then started to hear voices.

Worthless son!

Birdbrain~!

Pathetic human!

I ignored the voices and swiped my hand to get rid of the black smoke. When I did, I revealed the beast standing there in shock.

"T-this can't be! It's just...not possible!"

"Your little mind games won't work on me anymore," I said as I approached it. "You took advantage of my insecurities and used it to mess with my head. You even made me believe that my new family betrayed me...And for that, I'm going to kick your ass to the ground!"

I then rushed at the black beast. It couldn't react in time before I slammed my fist in its face to the ground.

There was a loud boom, and a dust cloud appeared from the impact. When I pulled my fist away from the black beast's face, it stayed on the ground.
