I only had a simple request for the adventurer and the town.

Since I saved them from the Orcs, they owed me, so I was going to take advantage of that. But, I wasn't going to be unreasonable.

I only needed a couple things from the town, so it shouldn't be too much.

The first thing for my request was a carriage. We needed transportation, otherwise, we'd be walking to the next town or city.

Luckily, they had one in a shack near the edge of town. I seemed decent enough, so we took it.

The last thing was the town's silence about what happened. Since we're technically on the run, I don't want people finding out about this.

I know that we're all in disguises, but there are plenty of people who can put two and two together. That's why I need to be careful.

I didn't want to interfere in the first place, but when the Orc Leader said that they were looking for me, I couldn't simply let that go. Good thing I left the Orc Leader alive to interrogate him later on.

Anyway, my final condition was the most crucial one. I needed to make sure that these people would keep their mouth shut about this.

I'm not saying that they should completely lie, but I at least want them to keep me and my friends out of it. They can say that a group of adventurers, with different descriptions, came in and save the town.

I don't really care as long as I'm not in it.

The adventurer was confused at first, but I made sure that he didn't press any further with the questions about it. Once he got the picture, we took the carriage and left the town as soon as possible.

Once we were far enough away, I got Amy to open up a portal that she tossed the Orc Leader in. We then went inside to meet our Orc friend who was accompanied by my scorpion familiar, Scorpio.

I thanked Scorpio for babysitting the Orc, and he disappeared through a magic circle. I then approached our little green friend.

The Orc Leader looked at me and my friends. Both fear and anger were shown on his face.

"Why the hell am I here?" He demanded. "What more could you possibly want from me?"

"Well, I still have a few more questions, but I needed to keep our little interrogation a secret."

"Is that why you faked my death?"

"Correct. With the whole town seeing you dead, it made things easier."

The Orc grunted in frustration.

"So, what do you want from me?"

"Well, first off, I want to know exactly what you know about the Child of Zerris."

"What does this have to do with you?! If you just give up the Child of Zerris, things would go a lot smoother for you!"

I lost my patience and grabbed the Orc's neck. I proceeded to lift him up the ground.

He was taller than me, but I made sure that his feet were hanging off the ground.

"I'm done playing games with you. Now, you are going to answer my questions, and if you say anything that isn't what I'm looking for, then you will severely regret it. Do I make myself clear?"

The Orc croaked but nodded his head in acknowledgment. After releasing him, he crashed on the ground and coughed.

"D-damn you!"

I simply shrugged at his comment.

"Now then, what do you know about the Child of Zerris?"

"I already told you! We were told that the Child of Zerris was a being with extraordinary abilities. We felt his power when he fought the dragon woman and her allies."
