-At Dawnmore Castle-

"They should've gotten the message by now," King Allen muttered to himself.

Earlier, King Allen sent a message to Zami and Clare about new information about the source of the energy burst. It seems that the Dragon King, Gradrag, found out that the person that was behind the explosion of energy and after effects was none other than the Champion of Darkness.

This was without a doubt bad. Since the Champions of the gods were said to be as powerful as the gods themselves, that means the Champion of Darkness was just as powerful as Zerris herself.

That's not even the half of it. Usually, if a situation like this occurred, they would just ask the champions to deal with it, but after the treaty was made and signed, they all just left without a trace.

They didn't return to their worlds, so they were still in this world, but they've hidden themselves from the outside world. It's been about three years since the treaty was issued and the champions have disappeared.

Without the other champions, dealing with Zerris's champion was going to be difficult. More than that, it was beyond impossible.

Since the Champion of Darkness was close to Zerris's power, they would practically be fighting a god. There was no way to win a fight like that unless you have a god of your own to do it.

This was only a part of King Allen's stress. The other part is the other rulers sending in their most trusted allies to help stop the Champion of Darkness.

He was afraid that the other rulers would use this opportunity to take over his land. Although he was the one that issued this agreement, it still didn't sit right with him.

Unfortunately, it was the only way to come to an agreement with them. Thanks to that, Allen is currently waiting for the rulers' allies to come by.

Once they show up, he'll explain the rules to them and warn them about doing any suspicious behavior. Considering what's at stake, they likely won't do anything, but that wasn't going to stop Allen from warning them.

Now, all he could do now was wait. It'll likely take a while before they show up, and that'll only worsen his stress.

"This is going to be a long day," Allen muttered.

-Damien's POV-

. . . Why am I in some kind of crypt?

When I woke up, I found myself in what looked to be a tomb. There was light emitting from the ceiling.

I realized that it was light bugs. I didn't expect these guys to emit such bright lights.

After checking in to the Inn, Vlad and I went back to the carriage to look around the city. The place was pretty big, so we didn't get to see everything out there.

What we did get to see was a few shops like the clothing shop and weapons. We went to the clothing shop to get some clothes for Vlad.

Vlad's been wearing that old rag ever since I met him. Since he didn't have any other clothing, we decided to buy some for him.

What we bought was a white button-up shirt, blood red vest, with a slick black long coat. He kind of reminded me of some Victorian vampire you see in those movies.

Anyway, after getting Vlad his clothes, we went by the weapons shop. It was mostly for Vlad since he didn't have any weapons.

During his fights against the monsters, he would use his abilities, but he dislikes using them since he would be using the very powers of the people he despises. I sympathized with him and decided to buy him a weapon.
