As usual, as soon as I feel at peace, something troublesome happens to me.
So, it's been about four days since we've moved in the Grave Manor. The others and I were adjusting ourselves in the mansions.
We tried to confirm which room was which from bedrooms to restrooms. And since we have a kitchen, we decided to work on cooking our foods as well.
We usually just buy food that was ready to be eaten, but since there's a kitchen now, the others and I wanted to make use of it. So, we did some practice cooking meals.
After a little practicing a little, we concluded that Vlad, Amy, and I would do the cooking. Vlad was pretty skilled at cutting vegetables and making stew, Amy was good at baking, while I was able to gain a Cooking Skill, so I did the majority of the cooking with both of their help.
Unfortunately, my newly obtain cooking skill was completely wasted.
Why? Because, apparently, I now have servants that will do the cooking for us, along with the cleaning and other manual chores.
And where did we get these servants? From King Allen and the rest of the rulers.
Yeah, Allen and the other rulers decided to send us servants to help us around the house. There were about eight to nine servants with us now.
They weren't going to live here, but they were going to work here now.
And, there was a particular servant who I did not want to join us. He was a butler that was in charge of the other servants, and he is also the demon that hunted me down.
So, let me introduce you to my unfortunate butler, Vanamore!
"Young master, would you like me to fix you some tea?" The demonic butler with a cheerful smile.
"No, I'm fine," I grumbled as I continued reading a book I found in my room.
Right now, I was currently in the living room, reading a book called Knights and Kings. It was a typical fairytale-like story with a group of knights serving some glorious king and going on adventures.
I thought the book wasn't going to be that good, but I got pretty into it. The knights were pretty good people and the king they serve was generous and thoughtful.
The type of adventurers they go on vary from hunting dragons to saving villages from bandits.
Anyway, while I was trying to read the book, Van kept continuing to request jobs from me. He was getting annoying, so I often ignore him.
When he first showed up, the others and I thought that he was going to attack us. Mainly because he just snuck in the house and sat on a chair and drank tea while greeting us.
This was how the conversation went.
"What are you doing here, Van?" I glared.
"Ah-ha! It's good to see you again, Young Master."
"...Come again?"
"Ah, my apologies, I forgot to explain my reason for being here." He then stood up and bowed. "As of now, I am your appointed butler. I'll be handling the job of watching over the other servants and tending to the Young Master's needs. Do treat me well."
After that, there was this huge argument between us and Van. We told him to get out, he said he couldn't because he was under Raizur's order to stay and help me anyway he could.
So, I called up Raizur and another big argument started.
"I don't want your general as my butler, isn't that enough reasons for you to take him back?!" I snarled at the Demon King.
