Chapter 75: The Sickening Situation

Okay, looks like I'm not in the void.

As soon as I opened up my eyes, I found myself on some grassy field. It looked like the sun was just coming down.

Hang on, what happened with Zemmi and the others? I don't remember much, but I do remember bits and pieces.

I remember getting stabbed, seeing Zerris, and . . . Get stabbed by the black beast.

There was also that power it poured into me when it did. I wanted more of it.

After that, I blacked out. What the hell did that thing do to me?

As I got up, I quickly looked around the grassy field. That's when I saw a little cottage a few meters away from me.

There was a little fence surrounding it, probably to keep animals and whatnot away from the place. I had nowhere else to go, so I walked over there.

As I did, I admired my surroundings. This place looked a lot more . . . Peaceful.

Like, way more than in Raemia. Though, if I wasn't being hunted down and then got stabbed, I would say this place and the other world were pretty similar in terms of peace and quiet.

Now that I think about it, what happened to Zemmi and the others? I don't remember anything after the black beast stabbed me, so I don't know what happened.

Weird. Well, until I figure out something, let's head inside the cottage.

It's likely abandoned, so I should be safe for now. When I opened up the door and went inside, it appeared that there were people already here.

However . . .

"Oh, good! Damien's here!"

"Took you long enough."

The two people in the cottage were none other than Zerris and the black beast. They were both sitting at a table, facing one another.

It looks like they were waiting for me, but why?

"What are you two doing here?" I asked in confusion.

"Well, waiting for you, obviously," Zerris answered.

"But why?"

"So we can get down to business," The black beast spoke up.

What are they talking about? I wanted to ask about that, but it looked like they weren't going to answer any more questions unless I sit down.

So, I walked over and took a seat. It was quiet for a couple of seconds until Zerris started to speak.

"You sure did cause a lot of trouble, Damien. I didn't expect you to use that much power. You even surprised me."

"What do you mean?" I gave her a puzzled look.

"She's talking about when you went crazy on that dragon woman and the people hunting you down."

Dragon woman? Does she mean Zemmi?

Now that I think about it, Thana said that Zemmi was called The Invincible Dragon. I just wasn't able to confirm it for myself because she was able to block her status from me. 

It was like that time with Bell. Now that I think about it, they might have a connection with each other.

Either that or it's just a coincidence. Doesn't really matter at the moment, though.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Well," Zerris began. "After the black beast poured its energy in you, you were quickly revived and wreaked havoc on everyone."
