Chapter 125: The Confusion

Once I opened up my eyes, I found myself back inside the dungeon under the castle.

I noticed that I was lying on the ground like I collapsed or something. As I pulled myself up, I saw familiar faces in front of me.

"Master, you're okay!" I heard Amy's voice.

"Dude, you scared us for a minute," Vlad's voice echoed in my ears.

"What the hell happened to you, Damien?" This time it was Zemmi's voice.

It took me a moment to catch up back to reality. I was still dazed after...whatever happened before.

My body felt heavy like I ran a marathon around the world. My hands were shaking, and I could tell that I was not only paler than a ghost but also sweating buckets like mad.

I then recalled the events right after meeting the black beast, and it exploding in front of me.

Zerris, Amy, Vlad, Thana, Arri, and everyone else I met were laughing at me. They were looking down on me like I was some insect.

Did...did I imagine any of that?

Was it real? Was any of that real?

I don't understand...I don't get it!

Agh! My head's killing me!

It feels like someone's hitting it with a sledgehammer. It won't stop pounding!

I can feel my head throbbing like crazy. It's like my head's about to explode.

I held my head, trying to make the pain go away. It was too much to bear that I fell to my knees.

"Master?! What's wrong?" It sounded like Amy was worried.

But, why would she be worried about me? Didn't she just treat me like trash before?

I don't get it. I don't understand what's happening anymore!

I noticed that Amy was reaching over to me. I felt a surge of alarm as her hand approached me.

No...don't come any closer!

"Stay away!" I swatted her hand away from. "Don't touch me!"

Amy was surprised by my reaction. Above all else, she looked hurt.

I could tell by the look on her face. But, why?

Why do you look so offended? You were just insulting me moments ago!

All of you were! You're nothing more than traitors.

"Damien, what's gotten into you?" Vlad asked as he walked over to me.

"Stay back! Don't come near me!" I quickly picked myself up and moved as far away from the two traitors.

Both of them were shocked by this. Neither of them stopped getting close to me and stayed in place.

"Damien, what's wrong? Why are you acting like this?" Vlad asked with concern.

Like you don't already know! God damn traitors!

I continued to glare at the two traitors. My cold, angry eyes startled them as they looked at me in terror.

"Master...it's us," Amy pleaded. "Just calm down, please."

Her eyes showed that she was worried, but I can't get that disgusted look on her face from before out of my head. Those cold eyes that saw me nothing more than a mere bug.

"Shut up! Leave me alone! I don't want to hear any more of your lies!" I covered my ears, trying to shut them out.

"Lies?" I somehow managed to hear Vlad repeat. "What are you talking about, Damien? We've never lied to you!"
