Korgan and his army of Orcs were approaching Malburrow Town.

The army was consisting of five hundred Orcs. All of them were A-Rank and ready to kill all the humans in the town.

They sent in a small group of Orcs to scout out the town, but none of them returned. It was a little worrisome, but they needed to proceed forward.

As the army slowly advanced towards the town, they came across what looked to be the aftermath of a battle. The stench of blood hung in the air, but it wasn't human blood.

No, it was the blood of Orcs that was spilled all over the grassy plain. The other Orcs knew the smell of their kind anywhere.

How could they not when they got a good whiff of the smell when they saw the pyramid of Orc bodies at their base. Ever since that day, none of them could get the smell out of their nostrils.

None of the Orcs moved after seeing what lied before them. What was weird was that there were no bodies.

There was plenty of blood to show that a massive fight happened, but no corpses. Another thing was that there were ashes as well.

It was indeed a strange scene to be witnessing. However, they needed to keep moving or they'll miss their chance at finding the Champion of Darkness.

Korgan was the first to move forward. He walked past the blood and dust all over the ground, and the rest of his army followed.

Some of the Orcs were curious about what happened here, but they kept going.

After a little bit more walking, they finally made it to the town. They noticed the stone wall and prepared for a fight.

Hmm, I didn't expect the humans to have such defenses. Korgan thought to himself.

The Orc Lord was expecting a fight, so he prepared his men for battle. After a few moments, they realized that there was no fight going to happen.

Korgan was confused by this. What in the world is going on?

There should've been humans at the gate or an army of them rushing towards the Orcs with intent to kill. However, instead of a fight, all that faced the Orc army was silence.

"What's going on?" Korgan muttered. "Where are the humans?"

The fact that there were no humans was weird. What in the world happened?

"What should we do, My Lord?" One of the Orcs asked.

Korgan took a moment to consider the question. They have no idea what was going on and seeing as how there were no humans to be seen, it could be that the town was abandoned.

"...Let's see what's inside. We might find some clues as to where that bastard Champion is."

Once Korgan gave the order, the rest of the Orcs nodded and proceeded towards the town. As they went inside the town, they looked around the find the place completely deserted.

There was nothing. No humans or even animals as far as the eye could see.

"Where is everyone?" Korgan wondered.

The entire town was silent. If there was a tumbleweed, it would be appropriate for the current situation.

The Orcs continued to look around the town, hoping to find something or someone to explain what happened. Unfortunately, they had no such luck.

Just as they were about to leave the town, a voice called out to them.

"My, my, I didn't expect to see this many of you. Then again, I did pretty much started a war with you guys."
