So, remember when I said that we should check out the house Zemmi found for us because I was curious?
Well, I regret ever making that decision. Why you may ask?
Because, apparently, the House that Zemmi found us to live in was some old and creepy looking mansion that reminds me of a haunted house called Grave Manor. There was a rusty iron gate in front of us that was the entrance to the old, dark gray mansion.
The entire environment screamed haunted house. Dead grass and trees all over, cracked concrete, and worst of all, a lot of crows.
They were all looking down at us with their beady red eyes. It gave me the chills.
Could you believe that? My last name is Crow and these black crows are freaking me out.
I bet I'd be a laughing stock if the people in my old world found out about that. As the crows continued to watch us, Zemmi opened up the rusty gates and we pressed on.
The manor was deep inside a forest called Terremore Forest, which is known for being one of the most dangerous and evil woodlands in the human country.
I was getting a pretty sinister atmosphere from this place, so my guard was all the way up. There was also a cold presence that gave me goosebumps.
It was probably just the weather, but I couldn't help but feel like it was something more. I took a look at the others and noticed that they felt the presence too.
As we got closer to the mansion, I walked up the busted up marble steps and went to open the old gray door. When I did, there was a loud creak as it was opening, and it made a loud echo inside.
"...You sure this place is safe?" I asked Zemmi.
"Well..." Zemmi hesitated for a moment. "I did say that there was going to be some improvements before you can move in."
I'll say. I didn't even step inside yet and I'm already having second thoughts.
"Who lived here before, anyway?" I asked, slightly curious.
"Oh, it was a man named Desmond Graves. He was known for being one of the most talented artificers in the world."
"Isn't an artificer those guys that create magical items like enchanted swords or something?"
"In most cases, yes, but Artificers are known for arcane researchers that study magic and mana with magic devices. Desmond was famous for many of his works like his Golems and magic vehicles."
"Magic vehicles? Like a car or something?"
"Now that you mention it," Zemmi pondered. "Desmond did say something about a car. I guess he just invented stuff that was from his world."
"Hold on," I interrupted. "You're saying that this Desmond guy was from another world too?"
"That's right," She answered. "Desmond was brought to this world by Vuthar, god of the forge. He was even given the god's blessing when he came here that gave him the ability to create any magical item he pleases with the right equipment."
Hmm, from what I remember about Vuthar, he was the god that forged Thana's sword. He was a minor god, but many major gods sought his help in making weapons.
More importantly, if Vuthar summoned someone from another world, that might mean that person was from my world. I was pretty curious as to who he is, so I decided to ask Zemmi some more questions about Desmond.
I mostly got general information like how he was summoned, what he did for a living, and what historical moment he made in history. Nothing really stood out to me.
