Eak got home right on time that night. His parents had just entered the car when he snuck over the fence to get into the house without being spotted. He felt somewhat guilty that he didn't get back earlier to say them goodbye, but he didn't want them to see his brand new bruises. Maybe they wouldn't notice it if he applied a few more bandages to his skin. Towntrap kicked some sweet ass, and even though the latter still felt guilty about it, Eak knew for sure Town had become more confident about defending himself.

Eak awoke to the sound of his obnoxious alarm, reminding him he'd meet up with Towntrap at the gym in about half an hour. Eak stretched before changing into his gym clothes. His white tank top was stained with a bit of blood, but he could probably use the excuse that it was ketchup if anyone asked. He jogged downstairs and quickly ate some breakfast tacos. Eak once again wouldn't see his parents before work, so he decided to leave them a note.

Tomorrow morning he'd probably be able to spend some more time with them, since on the weekend they didn't have to work the night shift. Eak put the note next to his plate, put on his shoes and walked out the door at his dead ease.

Hanging out at the gym with vegan today. Tomorrow we can have a family day :P  BTW, I'm out of breakfast tacos.

"Hey, Eak!" Towntrap cheerfully greeted his tan-skinned friend.

"Yo." Eak stuck up his hand as he approached the vegan.

They were standing in front of the glass doors that led to Carmino's gym, and Eak could already see the curly-haired bastard through the thick glass. As soon as they set one step inside the building, Eak was greeted by Carmino's smooth tone.

"Those dickheads from Huff N' Puff street apparently got their asses kicked yesterday night."

Oh shit. How does he know? Eak shared a surprised look with Towntrap.

"Uh.....how do ya know?" Eak tried to sound natural.

"A co-worker of mine walked past there to see those thugs scrubbing away that racist shit from their wall with a rag. They looked beat up." Carmino explained, resting his elbows on the counter.

"Ha, sucks for them." Eak grinned and put his hands in his short's pockets.

"You guys did that, huh?" Carmino offered them a knowing smile.

"Are we gonna get arrested?!" Towntrap suddenly blurted out.

"Damn it, Carnal! You could've just denied it!" Eak looked at his friend rather alarmed.

"Oh, really? I was just kiddin' but I'm not too shocked to hear that it really was you guys." Carmino raised a single eyebrow at the both of them.

"Well I mean they had it comin' to them." Eak replied with a shrug.

"Are we in trouble?" Towntrap looked uneasy.

"Nah. Neither me or my co-worker told anyone so you guys will be fine. Didn't think you'd be involved, though." Carmino lazily gestured towards Town.

"Yeah, uhm.....that just happened, I guess."

"He straight up murdered those dudes, to be honest." Eak proudly put his hand on Towntrap's shoulder.

"I wouldn't say 'murdered' but thanks?" Town scratched his cheek as a nervous habit.

"Looks like you've got some balls, after all. Head on inside, mates." Carmino nonchalantly waved as the two younger boys walked past.

"See? Beatin' up those guys was totally worth it!" The Mexican said upbeat.

Towntrap didn't reply, but secretly agreed with his friend.
