Eak and Golden quietly waited in front of Bonnie's door, hoping someone would open up some time soon. The door swung open and a lanky man with messy chestnut brown hair and green eyes appeared in front of Eak. His eyes stood tired as he calmly smiled at them.

"Hi, Golden. You're Eak, right?" Damn, that guy was almost as tall as Fox.

"Yeah, nice to meet ya! Sorry we're, uh, an hour or somethin' late. It's my fault......." Eak awkwardly scratched the back of his neck.

"It's fine, the others are inside, y'know, catching birds so how 'bout you two head on inside while I bring your bike to the garage?" Bonnie's dad nicely offered.

"Sure! Thanks, Mr......."

"You can call me Richard, mate!" Eak quickly realized Richard had a British accent.

"Oh, okay."

"Bonnie's dads are really chill, especially Richard." Golden said with a chuckle.

"Wait, dads?" Eak raised an eyebrow at the blonde as he followed after him into the house.

"Yeah, Bonnie's got two dads." Golden replied, looking at Eak with a somewhat questioning look in his eyes.

It took Eak a few seconds to realize why Golden looked at him like that.

"Oh no, I'm not homophobic, man!" Eak quickly explained, waving his hands in defense.

"Ehe, sorry, dude...... I've just had a few encounters with some homophobic assholes before....... Luckily Bonnie isn't afraid to step up for his dads." Golden slipped off his shoes, and so did Eak.

"Man, that sucks......." Eak quietly said.

Eak had to admit, he's never met someone before that had two dads. He knew families like that existed, but he'd never come across one himself. He wasn't homophobic or anything, he just wasn't used to seeing real-life gay couples.

"Oh my God, guys! You're finally here!" Chica's tone sounded angry as all hell, making Golden cringe back a bit.

"Yeah, we're here......" Eak nervously grinned in an attempt to make Chica turn her angry look elsewhere.

Dang, she looked scary.......

"Why are you guys so late?! Being a few twenty minutes late is fine, but an entire hour?! What happened?" Chica put her hands on her hips, staring up at the taller boys.

"Me and Golden were......arguing, and then I looked back at him and accidentally drove into an intersaction. Which led to a truck nearly hitting us, and the guy driving the truck tried to hit Golden, so I hit him with Golden's skateboard, then we lied down somewhere for a bit and now we're here." Eak tiredly explained.

"Oh......" Chica's eyebrows went up at that explanation.

Eak could see Bonnie and Fox curiously watching him from behind Chica.

"Why were you two even arguing in the first place?" Chica's anger turned into confusion in mere seconds.

"Does that really matter? I mean-"

"Don't worry 'bout it, we're friends now so it's all good." Golden coolly answered, leaning his arm onto Eak's shoulder.

Chica's eyes softened at that.

"Well, that's......great! Good for you guys!" Chica flashed them a thumbs-up.

"Hey, man, can you take off your jacket? My parents don't know that I'm in a gang yet......" Bonnie whispered to Eak.

"Oh, shit, right! Sorry, dude." Eak took off his jacket and put it in his backpack.

"So what's that with birds escaping?" Golden asked amused.
