"This is fucked up......" Bon muttered once again. He still thought that he was about to wake up soon, that this whole incident was just a bad dream.
"You've said that 6 times already, Bon." Toddy commented, completely unbothered as she watched him dig a hole.
"Aren't your parents gonna find out 'bout the, uh, corpse in the yard?" Meg warily looked down at Abby's body and then back up at Toddy.
"They rarely ever check the cameras, so that'll be fine. Might wanna chop up the body parts, though. Or else it'll rot even faste-" Toddy cut herself off as she saw the disturbed looks on her friends' faces.
"Nevermind...... It gets too messy." She concluded.
"You don't say?" Meg still looked as disturbed.
"Hey, y'all are the ones that called me to help out. Take it or leave it." Toddy shrugged. Meg found it to be mind-blowing how nonchalant she could be in this situation.
"H-how can you be so calm?? I killed someone!" Joy's voice was a bit hoarse from all the crying she'd done.
"Well, yeah, you killed someone, not me. I'm just here to help you not go to juvenile." Toddy answered as if it were as simple as that.
Meg slowly started believing Toddy's jokes about having a mafia family.
"Look, Joy, I'm scared out of my fucking mind, and I'm probably about to have an anxiety attack in under 5 minutes, but we're here for you, comprendre? We're not makin' you deal with this on your own." Bon earnestly looked up at his best friend, and despite the shaky hands he was holding the shovel with, he managed a weak smile.
Joy curtly nodded, swallowing before smiling as well, the tears once again falling from her eyes.
"I love you guy-"
"What are you people doing?"
Meg's heart basically leapt out of her fucking throat when a voice suddenly spoke up from behind them. She whipped her head around so quickly she could almost hear the cracking noise it caused.
A few feet away from them stood a mildly confused-looking Puppet. He had a blue solo cup and his hand and was most definitely spotting the lifeless body of Abby.
None of them knew what to say. The band members simply stared back at Puppet's questioning eyes, minds going completely blank.
"What.....what are you doing?" Meg stammered out, feeling the need to say anything without even thinking about what.
"Eak and Deuz are fighting inside or something. I don't deal with tension very well." Puppet paused for a moment, glancing at the shovel in Bon's hands and taking a sip from his drink. "Y'know.....kinda looks like you guys are burying somebody's corpse in here."
When none of the teens replied, Puppet simply quirked a brow at them.
"Or am I wrong?"
"C'mon then. Finish your fucking sentence, tough guy. Stop standin' around and answer me! Why'd I push you into the pool, huh?" Eak was now just a few inches away from Deuz's face. His bright eyes were like hot boiling coals.
Deuz still wasn't answering. He was kind of starting to regret speaking up like that. He didn't want to put Eak out in the open like that. That was just embarrassing....... But fuck, Deuz just wanted some goddamn answers. That night at the pool.....it confused him to no end. And with the way Eak had been talking to Onnie earlier, Eak's pissed off mind felt justified to say-
