(Decided to publish this chapter early for y'all ;D)
Freddy entered the concert hall confidentely, but that confidence crumbled as soon as people started turning their heads towards him. Shooting the concert-goers an apologetic smile, Freddy joined in the crowd and focused on the performance.
The Toys were jamming out energetically, with Toddy as always, magnificently managing the special effects. Meg was doing an impressive vocal performance of Bon Jovi's Shot Through The Heart, while Bon jammed out on his guitar and Joy happily played the keyboard. Freddy felt a bit guilty that he usually only came to The Toys' concerts for him, because The Toys were genuinely a really good band and Freddy did enjoy listening to them.
"Do you see him anywhere??" Fred obnoxiously asked.
"Not really....... It's kind of dark." Freddy muttered, squinting his eyes.
"Well then look better!" Fred impatiently commented.
"Christ, just wait 'till it's time for the break! It's only, like, one more song. Stop being jealous of Meg's vocals and just listen to them in silence." Freddy demanded in annoyance.
Fred dramatically sighed, but obeyed. After listening to another incredible performance of the song Youngblood by 5 Seconds Of Summer, it was time.
"Thanks for listening to us so far! It's time for a break, don't forget to hydrate!" Meg yelled through the mic.
The Toys disappeared backstage, and Freddy frantically glanced around for him. He saw the doors that led to the parking open, and knew it had to be him. He always went outside during breaks, Freddy had watched him do so from afar.
Yeah, no. That sounded creepy. He just intensely glanced every now and then if he was outside or not.
Freddy really hoped he didn't chicken out this time. Bonnie had given him and Fred some pretty solid advice, but yeah, talking to your crush who you technically don't even know is easier said than done.
"Come on, dude! It's not that hard." Fred huffed, as if he had the courage to do it himself.
"If it's so easy, you do it!" Freddy grumbled annoyed.
"Whoa there, Tiger! I'm not the one who has confidence issues here." Fred simply replied, and Freddy hated that he had a point there.
"Alright, alright....... It's time to do this!" Taking in a deep breath, Freddy marched towards the exit.
Under the starry night sky he stood. Dressed in the orange jacket that originally got Freddy interested in the boy, and his purple hair, which the tips were green-colored of, were in it's usual braid. Not to mention the green braces he was sporting. He looked......unique. Well, everyone in Freddy's friend group had something to their appearance that made them unique, but this guy......he was on a whole new level of eccentric.
The boy was leaning against a white van, which Freddy assumed was his. He didn't notice Freddy approaching, so the brunette quickly tip-toed behind the other side of the van to try and muster up all of his courage.
"Oh my God, he's right there! We're so close!!" Fred excitedly yelled, sending a nervous shock through Freddy's body.
"Calm down! You're making me hella nervous!" Freddy hissed back.
"Just approach him and say something cool." Fred suggested, sounding way more experienced than Freddy was.
Okay, maybe Fred was indeed more experienced than Freddy. It's just that most girls Fred flirted with had no idea of Fred's existence. They only saw a sudden shift in confidence, they didn't know anything about Freddy's 'other personality'. But then again, this wasn't a girl. Maybe Fred would say something different to the guy? He looked really smart too, with his black-colored glasses and shit.
