Chapter 17: Trigger

(So this chapter is seriously long due to popular request from someone :''')  I promise the next chapters won't be as incredibly long XD)

"Are we lost?" Golden's dry-sounding voice made Fox sigh in frustration.

"For the last fuckin' time, Golden, we're not lost! Eak's got this shit under control." Fox crankily replied, pulling on Chica's legs slightly as she threatened to fall off of his shoulders.

Golden instinctively looked at Eak, to which the leader shook his head in a honest manner. The blonde sighed and continued trailing after his friends on the side-walk with Towntrap, whilst the other gang members casually walked in the middle of the abandoned street.

"You seen anything yet, Chica?" Bonnie asked, having to completely tilt his head to be able to see Chica from up there.

"Nope. I'm not even sure what The Nightmare's apartment looks like, all Usagi gave us was Down-Hill Lone number 15." Chica answered, continuing to look ahead of her with a highly focused face.

"Oh, wait, Loon just send me another clue as to where it could be." Freddy suddenly spoke up.

"What is it?" Towntrap curiously looked at the brunette.

Freddy glanced at the ginger in silence for a moment before somewhat awkwardly smiling. It looked as though he was trying to hold in laughter.

"The one with all the yelling coming from it."

Town laughed hard at the vague definition, soon followed by snickers and snorts from the rest of the group. Though soon after the laughter slowly died down, Eak could indeed hear yelling from close by. It was slightly muffled, but he recognized it to be the kind of yelling Mexican families do when they get into a childish argument.

Except it wasn't Mexican yelling, but yeah.

"Looks like that clue actually held value after all." Fox commented with raised eyebrows.

"Let's go check it out! That sounds like Deuz......and maybe Onnie too." Bonnie confidentely picked up his walking speed.

Eak, on the other hand, slowed down a bit and trailed behind his friends. It's been a small while since he'd seen The Nightmares, but he was 100% positive they wouldn't appreciate seeing him back.

Pfft, he didn't wanna see them either. But, he was still a decent human being. If The Nightmares were in trouble, he'd still try to help them out. Besides, one of them is Usagi's boyfriend so surely there was some good to them!

But as they got closer and closer to the yelling, Eak started feeling less upbeat about the whole thing. He especially didn't wanna meet Deuz again.

The son of a bitch nearly broke his nose the first time they met........

This newfound anger, however, was also a motivation for Eak to face The Nightmare's leader.

"WHOA-?!"

He had just been about to press the-very broken-doorbell, when someone behind him touched his shoulders, making him jump up in the air.

"Sorry." A very casual, un-apologetic sounding reply came from Loon.

Eak looked past Loon to see that Usagi was already there too, smiling in amusement.

"So your boyfriend lives here, huh?" Eak shoved one hand inside his jacket's pocket, trying to look cool.

Usagi didn't notice.

"Yup! Go ahead and knock or somethin', the doorbell doesn't really work."
