getting a puppy without him knowing HC | angel reyes

HC with Angel Reyes and his S/O about her getting either a dog or cat without telling him. She wanted it for company when he was gone for long runs.

• he comes home one day and sees you hiding something under the blanket but then the blanket starts yapping and angel uncovers it and sees the cutest dog underneath
• the puppy jumps and cuddles into your lap and angel sits beside you
• "so we have a dog ?"
• you beam as you nod your head
• he sees how happy it makes you, so he can't be mad
• "it's okay right?" you hesitate
• "as long as you're happy, i just want to know why?"
• "i get lonely with you gone, having a puppy makes me feel better and lowers my level of stress" you shrug
• "stress?"
• "sometimes i worry if you're gonna make it back" you mumble
• "i'm sorry" he whispers as he takes your face in his hand "i don't mean to make you worry"
• "i know, and i know you don't have a choice in going in these runs. I know what i signed up for when we started dating and I don't have any regrets"
• "having this puppy will keep me sane until you come back home" you joke
• angel gets used to having the puppy around
• sometimes he does feel a little jealous because it feels like the puppy is replacing him
• he gets over it real quick when you show him how much you appreciate and love him ;)
