4. "i'm not going to stop poking you until you give me some attention"

you know you haven't been giving riz the attention he deserves. he hasn't said it but you could tell he's been feeling neglected, and you felt terrible because if the roles were reversed you'd be upset too.

you promised yourself you'd make time for him tonight after his run, but you had so many exams to study for. you were so focused that you didn't realize riz had already pulled up and walked through the door.

"hola cariño, sorry the run took longer than expected" he says as he sits down next to you and kisses you on the cheek

"mhm it's fine, i'm just studying right now" you mumble, focusing on the words in the textbook

you hear him take a deep breath, and that's when the poking begins. at first it was a poke here or there so you don't pay much mind to it; but then it became consistent.

you let out a grumble, "yes?" but the poking doesn't stop

it isn't until you let out a sigh that he says, "i'm not going to stop poking you until you give me some attention"

you close your textbook and move all your stuff to the table and for the first time tonight you take the time to examine him. he looks exhausted and he looks at you with sad puppy eyes, damn it his puppy eyes are your weakness

"i'm sorry, i haven't been giving you the attention you deserve" you say as you sit in his lap and wrap your arms around his neck.

"i knows you're busy with your classes, but i want you to be here with me" he mutters as he leans forward and lays his head on your breasts

"you're right, that's why i'm completely yours for the next 48 hours. no more studying or homework, i've done enough of that the last few days. it'll just be you and me" you smile as you play with the ends of his hair

"promise?" he says as he looks up at you with his adorable smile

"promise" you confirm as you lean forward and crash your lips onto his

he immediately kisses you back, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you in closer to him. after a few intense minutes you pull away, not by choice but for the need of oxygen. riz isn't having it, you giggle as he pulls you right back to him

he pulls your lip and then goes to pepper kisses all over your face. "i missed you so much" he says as he trails kisses down your neck. he didn't just miss you over the run, he missed you when you were right next to him but weren't paying him any attention

"i love you" you smile as you cup his face in your hands

"i love you too querida" he grins

you lean forward and bring your swollen lips back to his, you had a lot of time to make up for
