I watched Hope and Alaric as they fought and then pulled them away from eachother with magic when I stepped in. "Professor Saltzman, we need to talk. It's urgent." I said and he exhaled the air in his lungs. "What is it?" He asked and I raised an eyebrow. He understood and sighed. Hope eyed me confused. Well, she was not the only one with secrets. "Okay, meet me in fifteen minutes in my office." Alaric said and I smiled at the both of them. "Great, thanks." Then I turned to leave.
I was just passing the dining hall and suddenly, a hand on my shoulder made me turn around. Penelope stood infront of me, leaning against a wall. "Hey, you don't happen to know where Josie is, don't you?" I began to look frantic at her and rapidly shook my head. "What? No! I haven't seen her at all. Why?" I said and Penelope sighed. "Oh, it's nothing. Listen, you seem weird if you need to talk you know where to find me, okay?" I nodded and then I hugged her. "Thanks." I whispered. "Easy, Rose." She chuckled and I grinned before we both parted and I made my way to the headmaster's office. Alaric was early and asked me to come in and that's what I did. I sat down and sighed. I brushed my fingers through my hair and looked up to Alaric. "I need to talk to you about the... merge." Alaric frowned and eyed me. "W- Why?" He asked. "I... I need to know more about it." I whispered in a low voice and Alaric shook his head.
"No, Amaya. I know what you're thinking right now, but I can't do that. Do you know why Caroline isn't here?" I shook my head as an answer and he sighed. "She is not here because she is searching for a way to prevent the merge. And as long as we really don't have another option we'll keep searching for a way. The bond may makes you see things differently when it comes to the twins and especially Josie but you cannot let them know." I frowned and then looked shocked at the head of the school. "What!? They don't even know about it?" I asked and got up from the chair. The next thing I knew was that he blew something in my face and that everything went black.
I shot up from where I laid and looked ariund in confusion. "Son of a bitch." I mumured and tried to portal me out of the anti revilas magic cellar that Alaric had built for me. Haven't been in here since years. It surpressed my revilas magic and no portal could either come in or out. I also noticed the blue sapphire stone laying on the other side of the bars. "So, what did you do?" A female voice asked and I looked up to Josie sitting on the ground on the other side. "Josie?" I asked quietly and went to the bars to sit down. Josie eyed me, she seemed... worried? "I didn't do anything." I whispered and Josie raised an eyebrow. "I may have pissed off your dad." Josie looked now even more questioningly. "May have?" I chuckled and looked to the ground. "I can get you out of here." She whispered. I immediately looked back up. "You would do that?" I asked back and she got up. She raised her left hand and put it on the bars. Her hand began to glow red and within seconds the cage unlocked and I was free. "The stone." I said quietly. Her left hand reached out to my own and she put the magic in me, not able to use it herself. She picked up the stone and then smiled at me. "I may need your help with something." Josie said and I looked confused at her.
We then went to the old mill where the older students sometimes threw a party and there, we walked up the stairs. I saw a spider web and turned confused to her around. "What is this?" I asked and she shrugged. "I wish I knew. I was hoping that you may have an idea." Then I saw a human tied to the webb and raised an eyebrow. "That's Sasha, one of the missing girls from the Mystic Falls Highschool." Josie said and I tried to remove the human girl from the webb. Then not a minute later I was stuck at the same spider web. "Oh, come on!" I groaned and I couldn't move, nor could I witch myself out of it due to the stone that was in my near. It still partially surpressed my powers. Josie tried now to free me from it and before I could of stopped her she was stuck next to me to the cobweb. "You had to help me." I groaned and she glared at me. "Do you really want to fight right now, Amaya?" She asked and I tried to shrug but the web wouldn't let me. "Can't you witch us out of here?" Josie asked next to me. "Is the sapphire stone still in your pocket?" I asked and Josie nodded. "Yes." I sighed. "Then no!"
"Wait!" I called out as I got an idea five minutes later. "Can you siphon a revilas?" I asked and looked at my other half. "I don't know. You use different magic. Even if I could, my hands are stuck-" Her eyes gazed somewhere else than my eyes and she mumbled, "Unless..." In the next moment Josie pressed her lips on mine and that was the moment I felt something unlike anything I ever felt before. For a moment I kissed her back and I could feel that she siphoned my magic out of me. Josie then pulled away from me and I opened my eyes, only for them glow in the green-ish color and Josie's eyes mirrored my own. Josie blinked as if she'd notice the change in her soul and I looked down and cleared my throat. "Did it work?" I asked and felt lightheaded from the kiss. "I- I guess. Woah!" She suddenly called out and as I felt the magic, my magic, inside of her to gather. "Okay, it's gonna be okay! Just focus on me and it won't harm you. I promise." I tried reassure her and her eyes widdened. "Harm me!?" She asked. "My- my magic is too dangerous for eathwalkers to use for themselves. You need to get it out of your body as soon as possible." I whispered and she took a deep breath. A figure downstairs approached us and Josie looked the same way. "Isn't that Connor?" Josie asked and I felt that something was off. "Connor?" The boy turned around to us and revelead that half his face was fallen off.
The skin fell off in pieces and it revealed an arachne. "Holy shit..." I called out when the arachne jumped onto the support beam and then to the second floor. "Hey, Josie, now would be a good time to scream." The siphoner looked at me confused before she realized. "You can do this." I said and Josie closed her eyes before she opened them and they flashed green-ish. Then she opened her mouth and screamed a high-pitched scream that made the arachne fall back onto the ground. "Damn..." I whispered and Josie seemed shocked about what she just did. "I feel weird." Josie said and I knew what she meant, having it seen only once before. "The magic gatheres to attack the unknown soul, your soul." I whispered and then Josie screamed out in anguish. Suddenly, Landon stormed in and hit the pipe at metal railing towards the entrance. "Hey, douchebag!" The boy yelled and I groaned as I felt my magic acting out on Josie. "Josie you need to give the magic back!" I yelled and she just leaned forward and kissed me again, taking instead of giving magic. As she pulled away she mumbled a spell under her breath. "Uanascar." The spell shredded the cobwebs from her restrained arms and then she freed from the cobwebs. Then she gave me magic back and collapsed as she did so. "Josie?" I called out in panic and held her close before she could fall. I picked her up and carried her outside on the ground and Rafael got back in to get Sasha out. I got back inside and as I got away from the sapphire stone my eyes started to glow again. "You son of a bitch!" I called out to the arachne and Hope and Lizzie held hands, ready to defeat the spider. "Amaya!" Hope called and I got on her other side. "Repeat after me - Imperium fluctus malleus." Then we began to chant the incantation on the spider. "Imperium fluctus malleus. Imperium fluctus malleus. Imperium fluctus malleus. Imperium fluctus malleus." We raised out clasped hands in order to use more power and then thrusted them forward to the spider. "Imperium fluctus malleus!" The spider rose into the air and screeched and then exploded into a gigantic burst of orange goo. Then we exited the old mill and headed back to the school while Rafael carried Sasha back to the school and MG Josie, I stayed quiet while I wished that Josie would get better the moment she'd awake.
