Hope, Hayley and I were walking up to the school and Hayley gave me and Hope a small smile. Alaric already stood in the hallway and then led us to his office where we all took a seat. "It's good to see you again, Amaya." He said and I sighed. "I wish it was under better circumstances." I answered and he quickly nodded. Then he adressed Hayley. "So you want them both to go here?" He asked and Hayley looked at me again before she looked back at the headmaster. "Yeah, both of them. Hope looks up to Amaya and Amaya needs to focus on Hope or she would do something unpredictable." I got up from the chair I saw in and Hope looked up to me. "Hey, why don't you show Hope around? I'll trust that you behave." Alaric asked and I nodded. "Sure." I said and Hayley nodded at Hope and kissed her head before the seven year old followed me out of the office. "You've been here before?" She asked and I nodded. "Yes. Even though it looked differently back then." I said and Hope took my hand in her own.
Hope and I went outside and she let go of my hand as we walked through the backyard. Other kids played around. Older ones practiced magic on the grass. Hope and I stayed silent as we walked around. The girl looked like she was scared but on the other hand she was kind of curious. Her expression changed. "I don't want to go here without you." She said and I crouched down to her. "Hope-" I started. "Please, Amaya." She begged and I sighed. "Okay.. okay." Then she threw her arms around me. "Thank you." She whispered in my ear.
Then, Hayley and Alaric approached us. "Can I talk to you for a second?" Alaric asked and I looked up to him and nodded. "I know last time we saw eachother we weren't on good terms and I know you aren't exactly thrilled about being here... I just need to keep a low profile about the merge thing." I frowned. "Last I heard the whole gemini coven was dead." I answered and Alaric sighed. "I- I have two daughters. Twins. They were magically put into Caroline who is now their mother. We are still looking for a way to prevent the merge but I want you to keep quiet about-" "You forget that I am only here because of Hope. I couldn't care less about your daughters or the merge. It's not business." I said sternly and he nodded. "One more thing.. try not to let your revilas side take over. The last thing Mystic Falls needs is another revilas causing havoc." I smirked and nodded. "Alright, I'll behave." I whispered and then turned around and walked back to Hope and Hayley.
Hayley and I watched Hope as she began to walk up to other kids, but constantly looking back at us. We smiled and nodded at the girl to make sure everything was alright. "You can visit us in New Orleans, you know... I'm sure your dad would like to see you too, from time to time. You just have to open a portal and step through it." I frowned for a moment at Hayley's words. "He had to go, Hayley. I'm not sure if he would like to see me after he sent my mother away." Hayley sighed. "You know why he did it." I fully faced her and shook my head. "No. Actually I don't know why my father send my mother away when he actually needed her." I argued and Hayley took a deep breath. "Your mother said something about dark spirits in bodies with a soul bond. She said it's dangerous." I scoffed and then turned around. "He can't see Hope or Elijah or Rebekah so please don't turn your back on him now." I sighed and then nodded after a few more seconds.

Present day
I sighed when I looked around. I sat in the woods near the old mill and thought about the last few days. How everything came dowm to it. When I was about to leave per portal someone approached me. Someone I thought wouldn't come to see me. "I need your whole knowledge on this. Please." He said and I smiled. "Sure. But it's not that much." I answered and Landon sat down next to me. I held out my hand. I muttered a spell under my breath and Landon slowly put his hand on mine. Then he was able to see what I wanted him to see. And I began to tell him the legend of the phoenix. Revilas style.
Minutes later he opened his eyes again and I smiled a small smile. "T- Thanks... Why- Why are you here when- when there's another world that you could live on? Why this living hell?" Landon asked and I chuckled. "Here's my family. Here's Hope. I can't just leave her behind. Not after all she's been through. She needs me. And I need her." I said and Landon sighed. "And the other main reason I haven't run off yet is Josie. I could never, never leave her. I am bound to her." Landon frowned. "How does this work exactly?" I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. "I- I suppose she's the love of my life. She's everything I want and need. Since the bond exists I only see her. I need her to keep living." I whispered and smiled to myself in the end. "Hope warned me that you can't stop talking about Josie like that." Landon said and I quietly laughed while he smiled. "Sorry." I chuckled. "Landon?" I whispered now. "Yeah?" He looked up to me. "Never ever hurt Hope. Or I swear I will hurt you." I quietly said and he was taken aback by my voice. "I won't hurt her. I promise." I nodded and sighed. "Well, you better keep that promise." I voiced, got up and left him by himself as I walked out of the woods and back on school grounds.
