I woke up in a bed in the castle im my room on Meridial and sighed. I sat up and my mother sat at the end of the bed and drawed in sketchbook. "Thank you for being here for me, Mom." She set her book and her pencil down and smiled at me. "Always, my love. Thank you for telling me that you saw him even though it was not really him." She whispered sadly. "Penelope kissed Josie, and she kissed her back. That's the real reason why I am here." Mom's brown eyes darkened and she went to take my hand. "I'm sure Josie felt that something wasn't right. That she wasn't kissing the right person." She said quietly. "We kissed a few days ago." The queen's eyes widened. "Twice. We were in danger and she had to siphon my magic. She collapsed after she gave it back." She looked even more shocked but only nodded when I was finished. "An earthwalker can not perform revilas magic. She's lucky she lived." My mother said quietly and more to herself. Then we got up and she helped me get dressed.
"If I we got down to the dark world would it be possible for Klaus to be there?" Sophia asked as we entered the throne room. "Because yesterday there was a breach and someone's ghost was... missing." Sophia said and the breach was visible on the blue high-tech board. "Mom and Dad were linked until his death, so it could be possible. Because yesterday he appeared on earth." I said and Sophia sighed. "The breach from this same level was every now and then during the past two years." Mom explained and I went to sit on her throne. Both, Sophia and Mom, glared at me. I groaned and got up from her throne. "A ghost can leave at will?" I asked and Sophia shook her head. "No! Well, not actually. But if it was Klaus... he had a very strong connection to Olivia and it could be possible for him to leave at will." Sophia explained and I sighed.
A portal opened in the middle of the room and Sophia and Mom glanced at eachother before they got into a fighting stance. Josie and Lizzie came through with a surprised expression on her face. "What is this?" Lizzie asked as she looked around. "Meridial." I answered and Josie looked surprised in my direction. Mom and Sophia stopped and got back into a normal position. Sophia looked at the guards and they left the throne room. "How are they here?" Sophia glared at me and Josie held the stone I gave her. "You're her other half!" Sophia said and I sighed. "Good job, Sophia." Mom said. "Hey princess, might telling us what's going on here?" Lizzie asked and I glared at her. The door slammed open and the guards came directly forward. "The lake appears to have difficulties with regaining strength. But with the princess being here on the other hand." The guard said and looked at me. "Well, after her birth she did it only once. It would work." Sophia mumbled and I nodded at my mother. "All right." Then I looked at the twins. "Josie, Lizzie, follow me." Sophia said and after I nodded they followed her. Mom then made me ready and gave me a simple beige dress to wear and braided my medium-length hair. We then went to the lake and Josie and Lizzie wore both on of my dresses. It was safe to say that Lizzie felt like a real princess. Standing infront of it the twins and I were surprised, to say the least. The lake was acting up and it was like a tornado was reigning the waters. "Are you sure?" My mother asked and I nodded at her. "Go on, then." She whispered. I went into the water and laid down, now floating on the stormy water as the lake purified my soul. I closed my eyes and the water around me began to bubble and I inhaled air sharply. "No." Sophia said warningly and I spread my arms from my sides and let the magic do it's job.
After a while I was pulled out of the water and I looked into Josie's frightened eyes. "What was that?" She whispered and sat down to me infront of the lake on the grass. "I was purified of anything dark. I regained strength and helped the lake to work again." I whispered and then I heard Lizzie sigh. "So, what now? Can we go home again?" Lizzie said. Sophia and Mom looked at her and she glared back at them. "What?"
Night fell upon Meridial and the blue moon stood high. I sighed while I looked out of the window out of my room. "Why did you leave? Hope and MG were worried about you." A soft voice whispered behind me and the steps on the ground came closer until Josie was standing next to me. "I needed my mother." I said and then played with the green flash of magic on my fingertips. "What did Sophia mean when she said that I was your other half?" Josie asked quietly and I sighed, looking down on the ground. "The night you won the election... when we fought... you wanted to hear the truth and I denied you it because I thought you weren't ready. Then Penelope and you kissed and I simply saw red..." I said and brushed my fingers through my hair. I looked up at Josie and took a deep breath before I continued, "Some revilas are destined to find this one person. A partner that can be on the other side of the world. Or he or she can be born centuries after the other... They- They would find eachother, somehow. In really rare cases it also could be an earthwalker and a revilas that would be bound together. Like my parents... Like you and I." I whispered the end and looked in her brown eyes. "After the kiss I felt like I was cheating on someone. It didn't feel right. But when I kissed you to siphon your magic..." Josie sighed and then looked up into my eyes. "Everything felt completely right." She whispered and then turned to the window to look outside. I did too after her. "So, I'm bound to you?" Josie asked and I nodded. "Well, yeah..." I whispered. "But what if I wouldn't want that?" She suddenly asked and I laughed quietly. "Yeah, try that. You'd be the first one, Josie." Josie raised an eyebrow and I stopped laughing. "I am your... soulmate. Our souls are bound to one another, craving eachother. You'll feel it soon enough. I've spend a hundred years watching my parents being so annoyingly in love."
I heard a chuckle behind me. "You were born from that annoying love, sweetheart." My mother said and Josie and I turned around to her. "How does this work, your majesty?" Josie asked and I laughed again, now crying tears. "Your majesty?" I asked and Mom smiled at her. "Call me Olivia." I wiped the tears from my eyes and chuckled.
"It is a very deep bond. A bond that cannot be broken. Not even by death. Before my husband died it was everything to me. It's the very reason Amaya is alive. A soul bond is about the connection the two people have eachother. It cannot be born out of hate or dislike. Usually one is born with the feeling of being uncomplete. I felt that way. Until I met Klaus. But yours born out of a sudden feeling towards eachother. The fear of losing the other abruptly." Mom explained and Josie and I looked at eachother for a moment. "Tell her the dark side." I said and Mom sighed. "Since my husband is dead I have felt an immense sadness. I feel destroyed and dead myself. The only reason why I am still wandering on this earth is because of my daughter. And Hope. I can not and I will not leave them too." Mom explained and sat down on my bed.
"Hey, Jo? Sophia said I can have this. How cool is that?" Lizzie said brightly and smiled happily as she entered the room. She held a ring with a small green stone on it and a bracelet that matched the ring. "That's great, Lizzie." Josie said and faked her happiness for her sister. "What is happening?" Lizzie asked as she actually recognized the sadness in the room. "I will send you home now. Alaric is probably wondering where you are. But it was nice having you. You two are remarkable twins." Mom said after she got up and then opened a portal. After I hugged my mother I went through it and then Josie and Lizzie followed. The portal closed after they had stepped through. "That was so cool." Lizzie said and I smirked at her. "You know what Amaya? You can certainly call me your friend after all the times you have actually been there for me." Josie seemed shocked about her sisters words and I was too. "Wow, thank you, Lizzie." I said and then I left their room after Josie and I shared a glance.
