- 7. Possessed

I looked up to Emma and sighed. She just finished her session with Hope. "Did I try to tell Josie that she's kinda destined to be with me? No, of course not. Because if I'd do that all hell will break loose. Josie is starting to hate me and now I begin to hate myself and I guess I never felt that way before!" Emma looked up to me and nodded. "You used to say that you always wanted that. A soul bond. What changed since you actually got it?" Emma asked and I thought about it for a moment. "I suppose I never really cared about Josie Saltzman before and maybe also because my best friend is her ex-girlfriend so..." I said and leaned back. "Gosh... what am I gonna do?" I asked myself and sighed. "You told me the soul bond is all about the connection. What happens if it stays that way? Josie and you not talking and avoiding eachother, I mean." I frowned. "It can not possibly stay that way. I... need her. It's like the need to breathe." Emma chuckled and I glared at her. "This isn't funny. The thought of this staying that way drives me-" "Okay, take a deep breath and tell me the first thing that comes to your mind when you talk about the soul bond." I took a deep breath and closed my eyes while doing so, only for them to open when I exhaled. "My parents." I whispered and then looked back at Emma. "What else?" She continued. "My mother's stories." I said slowly. Emma nodded and I continued, "The connection of the souls... that it cannot be broken... by anything. Not by magic, certainly not by earthmagic." I said and Emma nodded. "See? And now tell me, is there a real reason for you to be afraid?" I sighed and thought about it. "No?" I whispered and Emma smiled at me. "Josie will talk to you again, give it some time, Amaya." She said and I nodded. "Yeah, thanks, Emma." I said and smiled as I got up and left her office.

I left for my room and when I got there I magically placed a note with a necklace from Hope and me on Josie's bed using a small portal. Then the door slammed open and I screamed in horror when it revealed who it was. Dad.

He slowly stepped in and Dorian followed with a loaded crossbow. "What the hell is going on here?" He asked and Dad turned around to him. "Get Alaric right now and keep Hope from... this!" I yelled in panic and felt like I was frozen. "Amaya, it's okay..." It said and I scoffed. "No! No, nothing is okay!" Alaric appeared in the doorframe and my breathing went more rapidly. "I didn't do anything, I swear!" I said and Alaric slowly walked besides me. He just stood there like it was the most normal thing in the world. "First my dead wive, now Klaus Mikaelson? I guess we have our new monster." I was close to crying but that abruptly vanished from my mind when Dad went after Alaric and suddenly held him in a chokehold. "Who exactly are you calling monster?" He roared and I intervened "Stop! Let him down!" Dad did what I told him to and I quickly got the necklace from my mother and held in the air. "Go! I'll handle this. Just keep Hope away." Dad's head shot in my direction and I flashed my eyes, making him stay where he stood. Alaric left after two more minutes and closed the door. "Let me see her. I need to see her." Sure he was talking about both, Hope and Mom, I shook my head. "No. Mom would die in the same moment from all the feelings and Hope would be even more sad when she has to let you again. And she's doing pretty good since you-" I went silent and went to sit on my bed. Stopping the glare he went to sit next to me. "How are they? Tell me everything." I chuckled sadly. "Mom is all crazy and angry, she constantly fights with the elders. They want her to marry again." I looked up to him and he took the necklace I was holding in his hands. "I never once thought in a thousand years I could love someone so much..." He whispered and I began to sob. "And, um... Hope is having a hard time letting someone in after Hayley and you... you know." We stayed silent for a while after that.

"Are you really my dad?" I asked and he looked at me. "Of course, sweetheart." He wrapped an arm around me and I nodded slowly. "How are you doing?" He now quietly asked. I sobbed again and closed my eyes for a moment. "I- I found my... my other half. A girl. She's going to school here- and um, she doesn't know it, yet. But I was planning on telling her tonight." I said and he wiped the tears from my cheek. "Are you happy, Amaya?" He asked and I nodded. "Yes." I lied. "I am." I whispered.

"Hey, Amaya, I need to ask you-" Penelope started and her and MG walked in. Dad and I got up and I immediately walked infront of him, trying to calm them down as they realized who he was. "MG, Penelope, I can explain-" "That Klaus Mikaelson is in your room, alive and well?" Penelope asked and MG looked frightened. "Not really alive and well." I said sadly. MG and Peez looked even more scared and that was probably the first time I saw them like this. "It has something to do with the next monster at the school but we will continue everything-" I was cut off as I was hit at the head by something behind me.

I woke up after a while and had a massive headache. MG woke up from a snapped neck and Penelope was lying on the ground unconscious. "Damn it!" I said and MG vamp-speeded Penelope in her room after we got up. MG and I met downstairs at Alaric's office again. Walking in on him asking Jo questions while Josie and Lizzie stood next to them I said, "He's gone! He knocked MG, Penelope and me out and then left. He could be anywhere!" I said franctically and then knocked 'Jo' out with my magic. "What's going on?" Lizzie asked and I bit my lips before I told the truth. "My dad came back from the dead, same as your... mom. He showed up in my room." I recapped and then looked Alaric. "MG, you go and check where Hope is. We can not let her know her dead father is here." Alaric said and MG rushed out of the office. "That won't be a problem." My father suddenly appeared and held me in a chokehold. My eyes and hands glowed suddenly bright green and I smirked. "I agree." I grabbed my father's hand and broke it. Then I broke his neck and watched him fall to the ground. Alaric, Lizzie, Josie and I left the room and the twins out a spell on it so the posessed supernaturals can't get out.

"Woo! Two for two, baby!" MG yelled and jumped into the air as he beheaded another male zombie. I just finished another zombie off as Hope said, "Penelope and I can handle the rest. Just find Josie." Penelope and Hope stood back to back and Hope nodded in my direction and I went after MG. I portaled my way through the cemetery, listening for my other half as MG vamp-speeded through the woods. He dug out a grave when I came to a halt behind him and when a female zombie came for him I used magic to stop it. "MG, I will kill you for good if you don't get up and find her!" I yelled in stress and I sonic screamed at the zombie that was coming at me. When I stopped Penelope and Hope arrived and MG concentrated on finding Josie again. "I got her." He said and vamp-speeded away. I opened a portal and Penelope, Hope and I followed him through it. MG now dug through the mud with his bare hands and vamp speed and after a moment it revealed Josie's hand. Once she was free with the use of Hope, Penelope and I she gasped for breath. Hope sighed in relief and smiled. "The talisman! It worked!" Josie still gasping and now even sobbing. She asked, "What's it supposed to do?" "Make quiet things heard." Hope and I whispered.

Back at the school in the hallway, MG, Penelope and I celebrated our success. I didn't listen to their conversation because all I thought about was Josie and that no matter what happened tonight I would tell her the truth. "Oh, totally. Yeah, Superman is such a slut." Penelope suddenly said and MG and her were laughing. Their laughter settled down when Josie came out of her room, wearing a bathrobe and carrying a towel. "Thanks for tonight, MG. Amaya." Josie addressed us but left Penelope out of it and I smiled, now even more encouraged to go through with it. "First hero thank-you? Uh, accepted!" MG said and then added before he turned around and left, "Up, up, and away!"

Penelope smiled sadly as Josie passed her and she headed for the girls' shower room. "What about me? I helped." Josie turned around to Peez and had a furious expression on her face. "You’re the reason I got buried alive on my birthday." Penelope quietly scoffed and Josie continued to walk towarda her ex-girlfriend. "I took your advice-- I wanted something, and I went for it. I made the selfish move, and I ended up fighting a zombie. There's room for people in this world that just care about other people. Not everybody has to be a show-boat." They kept walking towards eachother and zoned me out. "You’re right. This world needs the selfless and the selfish to keep spinning." Penelope said and added, "I happen to be the latter." Then she pulled Josie close to herself and kissed her. I felt my heart and my soul crashing and immediately turned around to leave the school.

I went to the gym and immediately let all my anger and disappointment out. I knew Penelope still loved Josie but... I never thought she did that!
I screamed out in anguish as I hit the punching bag over and over. Then I left the school grounds with a portal.
