I crouched down before the small portal of Malivore and let out a deep sigh as my left hand hovered over the goo, palm down. A blue glowing ball of magic appeared under my palm and tried to make the ball go into Malivore but it wouldn't happen. I groaned before I got up and sat down on the bench by the black goo. "Reporting for portal duty! I brought back up." A voice suddenly spoke and I looked to the right to see Lizzie, Josie and Hope. I let out a deep breath and raised an eyebrow. The three of them sat down and I looked down, brushing my fingers through my hair.

"Just because Josie's been flirting with your archnemesis doesn't mean that we can't go back to the way we were before?" Lizzie said and I scoffed while I looked to Josie. "Of all the revilas or earthwalkers out there... it had to be Ruby?" I asked and got up from the bench. "Yeah, well, it's not like you came running back to the school the moment you were free and told us that you were back." Hope said and I looked down. "Actually, I was planning on doing exactly that. But then I saw Ms darkest-revilas-ever-to-exist and Josie and decided otherwise. Even with no soul magic my heart was capable of breaking. And it's not like it was foreign concept to me - living on the streets, I mean." I rambled and crossed my arms. "But I'm back now, and I know that it'll take some time but we can fix this. All of this." I spoke and looked up to the unique creatures infront of me. "Starting with you, and your use of the Leminaré spell." I turned to Selina that stood by the tree that was close to the portal.

"I can't believe you would use the death spell to unlock my memories. And... and I can't even be mad at them... because they're not here." I huffed out frustrated while Selina walked me down the halls. "So, um, no more monsters in sight?" I asked the girl and she shook her head. "Nope... Just Ruby." She whispered and I growled softly, yet quietly.

We entered the principals office at the Mystic Falls High school and a shiver came over me. Alaric walked over to me to embrace me in a hug. "Uh, good morning to you too?" I asked confused and Selina chuckled.

"You told me your story... But now, with the memories, I'm just happy to have you back." He said and I closed my eyes. "Well congrats, you're the only one..." I said and we parted from eachother.

As I opened my eyes, Selina sat down at his desk. "You're just gonna have to give them time." He said and I nodded, letting out a deep sigh. "Actually I plan on doing just that. I'm headed home to New Orleans to do research on how to close the portal with my aunt and her circle of witches." I said, trying to sound a little happier that I was about to head home to New Orleans since...

I shook my head slightly while Selina spoke up. "So, you're not gonna see the Elders about this? They usually have to say something about every thing." I scoffed. "Yeah, I'm gonna step away from my revilas magic for a bit." I said and looked up to the two. Selina looked uneased at this statement. She knew how much it would cost to do such a thing. And as a Hale no less.

"So, this trip to New Orleans... is it round-trip or one-way?" Alaric asked and made me sigh and bite my lower lip. "To be honest, I don't know. I don't feel like I truly belong anywhere at the moment." I whispered.

🔮

I looked up to the people getting into the bus and grabbed the bag around my shoulder tighter. "Amaya!" I suddenly heard and ignored it, trying my best not to look up to where the voice came from.

"Don't go. Please." Landon said now as he stood infront of me, grabbing my shoulders. "Landon? What are you doing? Where's Hope? Is she okay?" I asked confused and worried. "You had to find Amaya, huh?" A voice behind me said and I looked over my shoulder to see Landon and Hope. "What the hell?" I asked and looked between the two Landon's.
