A letter appeared infront of me when I finally calmed down to do soul magic. "We need to talk. It's about Josie. - P" I read silently and sighed when the door opened. I got up from the floor and looked at Penelope. "Is she okay?" I began to ask and Penelope smiled sadly. "Now? Yes. In a few years? Not so much." The witch whispered and closed the door. "You mean-" I was cut off by her. "The merge. I know about it and I know that you do." She sat down on my bed and I was glad that Landon and Hope already left. "How?" I asked and turned around to face her. "Doesn't matter. I will leave the school to- to find a way against it. And I'd hope you could help me. After all, I know how much she means to you." Her voice was low and calm. "You- You do?" I asked and she nodded. "She's your other half. And that's why I need you to help me prevent it." She said.

"Penelope, I don't see how I could help you." I said honestly. "You're a revilas! You can portal yourself from A to B within seconds. You are bound to Josie and if something would happen to her you'd lose your mind." She said all the things I already knew. But why? "If Josie ... dies in the merge what would happen to you?" I began to shake and Penelope grabbed my arms. Things around us started to shake. "See? This is just the thought. But the whole picture..." My eyes started to glow and my other side took over. Then I screamed and the wave send Penelope flying back onto the bed.

"Stop! Just stop." I cut myself off and took deep breaths. "Amaya, I need my best friend to help me with this. Lizzie cannot win this war. Will you help me make sure of it?" She asked and rose from the bed. "I will." I said, my voice was cold. "Pack your stuff and don't forget the letter." A second letter appeared on my bed and I went to pick it up. By then the door already closed again and Penelope was gone.

After Alaric's speech I went after him to talk to him. I found him in outside. "I- I need to talk to you." I said and we took a few steps away from the humans. "I have to go." I said and Alaric frowned. "What do you mean you have to go? Where?" He asked and I sighed. "Wherever Penelope takes me. I- I need to do something about the merge, Alaric. I can't just sit around and wait for Josie and Lizzie..." I cut myself off and looked down to the ground.

"Caroline's searching for something. And she's gonna find a solution." I shook my head and looked up. "She's been searching for years! And there are only so many years left until they have to stand infront of eachother and do the goddamn merge!" I raised my voice and them was quiet again when I said, "And you'll have to kill me before I let them do it. And if it comes down to it I'll banish Lizzie Saltzman myself in the dark world." I spat and Alaric stepped closer. "Listen very carefully now, Amaya. You will not do anything to Lizzie because of your feelings for Josie. I know a few tricks about your magic and if you try something other than being nice I'll have you thrown into the cellar. You will not cause any harm to my daughters. But by all means try to find a solution your way." He said and I clenched my hand to a fist. Then I turned around and when I saw Landon I immediately walked up to him. "Hey, do you know where Hope is? I need to blow off some steam without hurting anyone." I asked and Landon sighed. "No. But I know where you could blow off some steam." He pointed into a direction and when I looked into it. My heart stopped for a minute and I was filled by rage. "Roman?" I asked and said vampire turned to face me. "Thanks, Landon. I'll handle it from here. Don't tell Hope." I said and my voice was cold again. I walked up to the vampire and growled softly. Then I opened a portal and pushed him through it angrilly as my eyes began to glow. "Amaya-" he began and the portal closed when we were in the woods. "I should kill you right now! What the hell are you doing here!?" My hands were clenched to fists and the leaves on the ground were flying up in the sky. "I am here to help out. It's the Miss Mystic Falls competition." He said and I tried to calm down but I got no hold of my magic. "Get out of here." I said and he vamped away.

I brushed my fingers through my hair and sobbed quietly. Then I screamed and when I was done, my eyes snapped open and I gasped slightly. "Josie." I whispered in realization and opened a portal to the school. I jumped through it and stood in the hallways. I went to where I heard music and frowned when I saw people dancing. When I saw Josie and Penelope I sighed. Penelope caught the gaze I had laid on her ex-girlfriend and smiled in my direction before she whispered something to Josie and then stepped away. Josie looked at me and nodded shortly. Penelope walked up to me and continued to smile at me. "Don't let her mess up." She whispered and I nodded. I walked up to her and we began to dance the part where we were allowed to touch eachother. "So, our first dance, huh?" I asked and Josie smiled a small smile. "Penelope said I should take you as my escort instead of MG." I chuckled and looked into her brown eyes. "She really said that?" Josie nodded and chuckled, too. "You don't have to, obviously. I-" I cut her off immediately. "I'd love to." I whispered and when she almost fell I caught her and slowly pulled her up. "This is Lizzie's thing, Amaya. I don't want to ruin this for her so just let me lose it." She said and I blinked a few times. "I'm sorry, what? You deserve this crown more than anyone. More than Lizzie. Why do you always put yourself second, god damnit?" I tried to keep my voice down and she continued to just stare at me, staying quiet.
