[ Josie's POV ]

"So, who's that black haired creature that stumbled out of this room earlier?" Lizzie asked and I frowned. "Oh, you mean Ruby. She's, um, new here." I said and Lizzie sighed. "I know. I welcomed her too... but what was she doing here?" Lizzie asked and I looked up to her, getting up from my bed. "We researched someone together." I whispered and then Lizzie raised an eyebrow. "Don't worry. She doesn't know anything about the merge." After a while, I said, "Come on. The assembly starts soon."

[ Amaya's POV ]

I sighed as I opened a portal and stepped through with a bag full of clothes and other things I'd need. I stood infront of a house that bloomed with magic. It was surprising how well she adjusted to a human life. But she was not a human. When I went up the stairs to knock at the front door, it suddenly opened itself and she stepped out. "Selina." I breathed out in relief with a small smile on my lips. "I'm sorry. Do I know you?" She asked confused and all my hope was shattered.

Then she smiled and began to laugh. "You should see your face!" She laughed whole-heartedly. I shook my head and hugged her, practically clinging onto her like a monkey. She also wrapped her arms around me and I heard her sigh deeply. "So, um, how is no one else besides our revilas friends remembering you?" She asked and I chuckled before parting from her hug. "Yeah, funny story actually. You remember my baby sister Hope?" She nodded. "Well, she's not a baby anymore." I started and we left her porch to wander around the city.

"That's... um, impressive." She said after we went back to Mystic Falls, so that she can have a look at my new life. "I'm really sorry about your parents. While Klaus Mikaelson was not an easy man, he loved his family very much." She stated and I nodded absently while I let my eyes gaze around the halls of the supernatural school. "Now, show me." She demanded and her soft voice disappeared. "Her." I whispered and slightly pointed to the girl my Josie was sitting with in the grand hall. Her blue eyes wandered to Josie and then to her. "Oh my god. Amaya, do you realize who that is?" She asked in shock and her widened eyes wandered to me. "Amaya, that's Ruby! Ruby Hale." My lips parted and I felt like I was getting dizzy. It couldn't be. "No." I whispered and turned around at the change of my hazel eyes to an icey blue. "It- It can't be. She's supposed to be locked away." I whispered and Selina turned around to me. "You never met her." It was more of a statement than a question.

Of course I never have. My mother never allowed me to. She thought that if she ever saw me, she'd kill me. But now this? This was worse than any torture. Having her look at the people most important to me? Mocking my existence when she very well knew who I was? I looked up, turned around, cast a spell and twisted my wrist so that she was forced to look at me. "Oh." She made and then chuckled. Josie continued to look in a book. My eyes shifted and her inital frown turned into a mischievous smile. We stared at one another. Sadness and rage was bubbling in my eyes as she felt the pure joy of my broken heart.

Her smile suddenly fell as she regained strength to look away when Josie decided to stand up, book in her hand and leave the revilas she called now friend. The Saltzman girl walked past me and I suddenly heard myself calling out her name, and I realized it was too late. She froze for a second before turning around. "Aren't you Josette Saltzman?" I asked and she chuckled before her pretty smile lit up her face. It was the exact first thing I said to her when I met her. "Yes, but um, Josie is fine." She said and I clung to the last hope of bringing it all back. "And you are?" She asked and stepped closer. I nervously bit my lip before answering.

"Rose. Just Rose." I said and immediately thought of myself as a coward. For some reason, I thought it was better to use my middle name because if I told her who I was, it would all be over. And yet, it wouldn't be. "Well, just Rose." She said and froze again before she looked down on her watch. "I should get going. But it was nice to meet you." She said and then turned around before she walked out of my sight. My eyes now flickered green. I could feel it. A feeling like that couldn't be forgotten.

I turned to face Selina and she sighed. "She's cute." The blue-eyed witch said and I simply sighed. "Yeah, I know." I whispered. We turned around to go look after Ruby but she was gone.

Selina and I made our way outside and I took a deep breath before I turned and left the school grounds with the brown haired beauty beside me. "She'll remember you eventually, Amaya. A bond like that will never go away. You know that." Selina said and I shrugged. "Maybe that's just how it's supposed to be." I whispered. We opened a portal and vanished through it.

[ Josie's POV ]

"Any luck on finding that revilas thing?" Hope asked as she sat down on my bed. I sat on my bed, too. My legs were on the sheets and a book was on my lap. "The new headmaster was about to throw this book away but I intervened. He said it was about dark magic and other beings and something about the symbolism of blue and green." I explained and Hope sighed. "Symbolism of blue and green? Like this?" She asked and took the blue glowing stone from my nightstand.

It began to glow a few days ago. "Yeah. I don't know where I got it from but I can't bring myself to throw it away or something." I said and Hope gave the big stone to me. It suddenly felt like full of magic. "Huh. Weird." I whispered and siphoned it. "Um, Josie..." Hope said alarming after I siphoned it all. "What?" I asked, confused.

"Your... your eyes. They're glowing green. Like slug green, but it's a darker glowing green." I got up while I tossed the book aside and went to the standing mirror, looking in my own, now green glowing eyes. Suddenly, dark lines were running up my legs and arms to my neck until I was covered with dark lines. "Oh my god." I exclaimed and then darkness was surrounding me as I passed out.
