I gasped loudly, opened my eyes and sat up. Next to me a person also sat up and I turned my head to see who it was. Clark. "Ahh..." he groaned and I got up. Tormented ghosts appeared infront of me. No one was paying attention to me.
Well, except, two. And they turned their heads to me and leaped infront of me and my new best friend. This is... "Amaya? What happened to you, sweet child?" Kenna Hale, first Hale revilas to ever be queen, asked. Next to her was... Aunt Sara? "I- I don't know. The last thing I remembered is that I tossed myself and him into Malivore." I explained and Sara immediately hugged me tightly. And the thing that surprised me most was that I could feel her. I hugged her back tightly. We parted and I stared at her.
"How- How are you here? What is this place?" I asked. Sara chuckled. "This is the dark world, sweetheart. I'm dead." She whispered. I gasped slightly. "Mom never told me..." I whispered and Sara nodded. "I know." She said. "Who is this?" Kenna asked and eyed Clark. "Uh, I'm not sure. But he is not a friend." I said and Clark glared at me.
"Sara? Can I speak to you?" I asked and my aunt nodded. We wandered around. "What happened to you?" I asked after a while. "Ruby happened. When she first got free and when Hope had the hollow inside of her I decided to go after Ruby instead of my sister. I paid with my life to banish her again. But I'm at peace with it and your mother hopefully, too. She suffered so much. First Hayley, then Klaus and me." She said and her eyes showed signs of sadness. "Have you seem him?" I asked quietly. "Yes. He is here quite often. You see, Klaus is still bound to your mother and always will be. And because of that he is able to travel between the worlds. Between his kind of peace and this." I looked down on the ground and began to think.
"I wanted to stay with him." I whispered and sunk down at a tree. The dark world seemed like a less vibrate replica of Meridial. "What do you mean?" Sara asked and sat down next to me. "I parted my soul from my body and I saw Hayley and my dad. And I wanted to stay with them so badly. I wanted to stay dead." I whispered and Sara took my hand. "Don't think such things. You will be out soon and you will be happy again. Word is you found your other half. A special little witch." Sara said and I chuckled. "Yes, Josie. She's a siphoner. Josie and Hope are the reason I sacrificed myself." I explained and smiled. "Sara... When you met my parents together... what was their bond like?" I asked and Sara chuckled. "Oh, well... They were powerful, that's certain. But also so vulnerable. Mikael was at large when they met and was searching for Klaus and his siblings and so my sister and even you became a big target. Klaus would protect the two of you at all cost. All in all, they were a powerful duo but so in love when they were together. They cherished every moment, fearing it could be their last." I sighed. "Until one day it was." I whispered and Sara nodded. "Back in 2011 when your father was 'killed' by that little group in Mystic Falls, your mother was devastated and unbelievably full of rage. She killed. She hunted. When your father was back she was different. She never told him but she knew Hope would exist in the near future and she distanced herself from him. Your mother feared to lose him to another, probably why she did the race so early. -" I cut her off. "What do you mean 'she did the race so early'?" I asked confused. "She never told you?" She asked and I shook my head. "Olivia did the race earlier than intended. Way earlier. The Elders only agreed because our mother was dead and because Sophia denied the crown for centuries." Sara explained. "Sophia was next in line?" Sara nodded. "Yeah. About 500 years ago Sophia was meant to reign but she denied the crown. After being stripped away from her magic she became regent and served those who came after her. Why is Olivia keeping all these informations from you?" I shrugged and sighed. "I don't know, Sara. Mom has always kept secrets. For example when she kept letters about her knowledge that Josie was going to be my other half. I found them in her bedroom when I visited Meridial." I sighed.
"She has lost much. She doesn't want to lose you, too. But be careful and make no mistake. I have the feeling that you are able to-" She stopped speaking and the scenery changed. It seemed to fade. Sara next to me faded and I got up and looked around. Clark was the only not affected. "What are you doing!?" He yelled and I tried to stop it, but the dark world was so much stronger. "Nothing. I can't even stop it." I said and Clark walked up to me. The scenery stopped moving and now we were in a room. More specifically in my room in the castle. Josie was laying my bed with blood on her clothes. Hope, Lizzie and even I were there, too. I knew it wasn't real but it looked so real...
"What's going on? What happened?" A girl that looked exactly like me asked. It was me. Lizzie sat on the bed, holding Josie's hand and Hope had wet cheeks. "No." Vision me said shocked with a trembling voice. "No, that's not real. Please, tell me she's gonna wake up. Please! Lizzie." Vision me begged and Lizzie looked up. "You don't remember what happened?" Lizzie asked silently and I frowned. Vision me walked up to the vision of Lizzie. "What happened?" Vision me asked silently and she looked to Josie for a moment. "You, Amaya, happened. You went full dark queen and killed my sister. And now you're gonna fix this or I swear that you precious Elders aren't gonna stop me from killing you with my bare hands." Lizzie snapped and I sunk on my knees. "Wake up." I whispered and didn't realize that it was only a vision anymore. Vision me disappeared and Lizzie looked directly at me. "BRING HER BACK!" She yelled and I got up. With no magic to rely on and in a state like this I could not perform such a spell so I ended up grabbing her arm and begging Josie's dead body to wake up.
"You can't... Because you are no revilas anymore. You are a fool to think you could ever reign a kingdom like this." Lizzie said and her eyes flashed green. "You are not Lizzie. This is not Meridial. You are messing with my head, my emotions." I said and got up from the bed. "You're right. We are." She said and Hope and Lizzie disappeared. On their places appeared ghosts completely dressed in black and I turned around to Clark. "Run!" I yelled and he fled. I quickly ran after him and when I catched up with him I tried to look for a way out. "Those ghosts are tormenting me. Trying to make me give into my darkness to lead them out of this." We found a way out and I quickly took the left and Clark followed me to the lake. The lake began to bubble and I quickly pushed Clark into it. "Take a deep breath and think of nothing. It's gonna be wild." I said and turned around the ghosts. "Sorry, I promised my father I wouldn't give into the temptation." I said and winked. Then I jumped into the lake and it sucked both me and Clarke right to the bottom where we vanished.
I groaned when I fell onto the hard ground and looked around. "What is this place?" Clarke asked and we got up. "Think of Malivore but a thousand times worse. The longer I stay, the harder it gets for me to remember the reason I want to leave. Until they break me and I finally give into my darker self." I explained and sighed. "What's your reason to leave?" He asked and I sighed again. "Josie." I whispered and a portal opened infront of us. It showed Ruby, my mother and Josie. I slowly began to walk towards it and when I could feel the portal with my hands I smiled. "Amaya!" Clark suddenly yelled and tackled me to the ground. I looked confused and angry up to them when I saw that the portal closed. "Are you insane? This was our chance to get home!" I yelled and Clark shook his head. "No, Amaya. It was not. This wasn't Josie or your mother. They were not real." He said and he got off of me. "How would you know?!" I yelled angrilly. "Would your mother ever let Ruby out of her cage and in the near of Josie? To get you back home?" He asked and I looked away from him. "You saved me. From a deceived vision I was too blind to recognize. Thank you." I whispered and looked back up to him.
