Mya pulled the phone away from her ear to look at the Id and make sure she's not dreaming. "You did what?" she said, bringing the phone back to her ear.
"We eloped!" Cassie squealed.
"Cassandra, no! Why?" Mya questioned. "Please tell me that you're joking."
"No. Chris and I are married now."
"What about the wedding?" Mya asked.
"We're still having a wedding, after the baby is born." she said. "I want to look good in my gown without a baby bump making me look fat."
"Oh, girl." Mya said with relief. "I was about to say, you're going to have a wedding!"
"Why do you seem more interested in my wedding than I do?" Cassie giggled.
"Because you're marrying a celebrity! Which means that other celebrities will be invited. Which mean, your closest and most dearest friend can meet all those wonderful celebrities that your fiancé is aquainted with."
"Now you're sounding like a groupie." Cassie lauged.
"Make sure y'all invite Drake and Kendrick Lamar. At least let one of them be a groomsman, that way I can walk with whichever one y'all choose." Mya said.
"How about you, the marton of honor, will walk with the best man, who is not Drake, nor Kendrick. Sorry to burst your bubble."
"Who is the best man?" Mya asked.
"You'll just have to see." Cassie answered.
"What? Don't do me like that!"
"It's a surprise." Mya could hear Cassie gloating through the line.
"Ugh!" Mya groaned. "It's okay, I'll be sure to stay tuned into my celebrity gossip sites. They'll announce it soon."
"Those things are the devil. You need to wait until I tell you." Cassie said.
"Don't tell me how to live my life."
Cassie giggled. "Shut up."
Mya laughed. "So, did you tell your people that you're married now?"
"Hell no!"
"Why not?"
"Being married is one thing, when my sisters find out who I'm married to, they'll be ready to kiss my ass for just about anything." She answered.
"Well, at least tell your parents." Mya suggested.
"I will, I just don't know when I'm going to do it."
"Tell them before either of your sisters can tell them. They'll find out from the media and mess around and tell your parents. So do it before it gets out."
Cassie sucked her teet. "Okay."
"Well, let me finish getting dinner ready. These kids are about to drive me crazy about how hungry they are." Mya giggled.
"Alright, girl. Don't forget that we're going shopping tomorrow." Cassie reminded.
"I know, I know. I may bring Heaven with us."
"Great! I need to spend some time with children in order to get ready for mine."
"Yeah, you better get ready." Mya joked.
"Until then, I'm about to get ready to go to sleep. We're tired."
"Have you ever told Chris what you're having?" Mya asked.
Cassie sighed, "no."
"Cassandra," Mya said in a disappointed tone, "you need to tell him."
"I will! Okay? I'm going to do it."
