"Cassandra," Mya walked into the guest room, "this is getting out of hand."
"Ugh," Cassie groaned, "get out!"
"No! You've been here for about four weeks and I'm about to make you start paying rent." Mya fussed.
"I'm pregnant for goodness sake." Cassie whined.
"It ain't my baby! Therefore, I shouldn't be the one taking care of you."
"I'm not going back to him."
"Like hell you are!" Mya yanked the covers off of Cassie.
"YaYa, leave me alone!"
"No. You need to go talk to him. He's been calling me and coming to my job. Got those girls in the studio going crazy just because he walked in." Mya sat on the love seat at the end of the bed.
"So! I'm done with him."
"No you're not! You love that man and he loves your mean self too. I'm not sure why, but he loves you and he's been trying everything just to get you to listen to him."
Cassie opened her mouth to say something, but Mya cut her off. "You listen to me," she held her finger up, "you're hurting that man. He loves you and he misses you."
"How am I hurting him when he's the one that lied to me?"
"One lie. One white lie?" Mya said.
"And that one lie will turn into two, then from two to three, and the list continues." She said finally sitting up in the bed. "I need him to understand that I don't tolerate lies. At all. I hate being lied to no matter how small the lie is."
"I understand that, but people are going to lie." Mya said. "Hell, I've lied! But my husband loved me enough to not leave me." She giggled.
"And if you really love that man, you'd go back to him because he technically didn't do anything wrong."
"Why are you siding with him?" She asked.
"Because this is pitiful. As your friend, I let you be but now I have to tell you. He doesn't deserve the treatment you're giving him. You're keeping him away from you and the baby."
Cassie's rolled her eyes, not wanting to hear what Mya was saying.
"And I know you miss him." She added.
There was silence between them because Mya thought Cassie was going to have a response, but she said nothing.
"With all of that being said, you're going to see him today." My went through the closet where Cassie placed her clothes.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"I'm finding you an outfit for you to wear."
"For what? I'm not going anywhere!" Cassie complained.
"Yes you are!" Mya fussed.
"You can't make me." Share folded her arms.
Mya came out the closet with a top in her hand. "You are absolutely right about that." Mya said in a tone that made Cassie wonder what she was thinking.
She's left the room and Cassie stayed in the bed and ended up going back to sleep.
About any hour later Mya was in the kitchen with Chris.
"Thanks for calling me." Chris said.
"I had to. She's been driving me crazy." Mya rolled her eyes.
"She's Cassie. She'll do that. I've learned that."
"I would say let's wake her up and get her out of here, but I know what sleep means to a pregnant woman." Mya paused, reminiscing the time she was pregnant.
