Cassie walking into the house where she found Chris in his office.
"Hey, baby." She walked to his side of the desk and kissed his cheek. "How are you?" She asked.
"I'm alright. Just got off the phone from a conference call." He replied. How are you?" He asked.
"I'm good, glad to be off from work and able to come home and see my man's handsome face." She smiled at him.
Chris stared at her for a moment. "You are so beautiful and I love you." He stood up and kissed her.
"I love you too." She wrapped her arms around his neck as they kissed.
Their kiss was interrupted by the doorbell followed by banging on the door.
"Who the hell is that?" Chris scurried out his office with Cassie close on his heels. As they got closer to the door they could hear a female's voice.
"Chris! Chris!" The woman's voice cried.
"Sounds like Allie." Chris opened the door and there they found Allie there with ripped clothes and a briused, bloddy face. "Allie, what happend?"
Allie was in tears, her face was swollen with a busted lip.
"I'm going to get something to clean you up." Cassie said as she disappeared.
Chris let Allie inside the house and walked her into the kitchen. "What happened?" He asked. "Where's Trent?"
"I don't know." She shrugged. "He left the house right before I did." She sniffled. "He almost killed me." She cried.
"How?"
Cassie came into the kitchen with her hands full.
"He's never been this way towards me." She shook her head.
"Allie, tell me what happened." Chris requested.
"I mean, everything was fine. We were just chillin, cuddled up, and talking and then he blacked out. We were talking about our trip to Atlanta and then I mentioned us going to the Bahama or somewhere outside the country and then he just flipped." She explained.
Both, Chris and Cassie were all ears as Allie spoke.
"He started going off, throwing punches, slapping me and he even called Melanie a few times."
Hearing her say that caught Chris's attention. "He called you Melanie?" He questioned.
"Yes! Like five times as if my name was Melanie."
Chris rubbed his face and then his hand brushed the top of his head. "Allie, I want you to listen to me and listen good. Stay away from Trent. Don't go back to the house, stay here." He ordered.
"Is it that bad? Who is Melanie?" She asked.
Chris didn't want to share any information on Melanie with Allie but he felt that she needed to know. "I'm only telling you this because I care about your safety."
Allie was silent and so was Cassie.
Chris sighed, "Melanie is Trenton's ex-fiancé." He said. "She died in a housefire a few years ago."
"Ex-fiancé?" Allie repeated.
Chris nodded. "The fire was at Trenton's house in Mexico and apparently Trent is the one that killed her and her bestfriend." As his brother, I know for a fact that he killed them." He assused. "We had to hire a damn good lawyer for that case and that's how he got off."
Allie was in tears. "Why didn't you tell me this before?"
"That's what all of my warnings were for." He wanted to keep her calm. "I couldn't just come out and say it because I had to protect my brother, but I can't do that anymore." He shook his head.
