"Baby, Cassie is going come by here today." Jordan said as he put on his shoes. He glanced at Mya and saw that she was still laying the same way she was when he got out the bed and before they went to sleep last night. He knew she was up because she's normally awake when he's getting ready for work.
He heard a loud thunder clap, he hated that it was raining so hard. He didn't want to go to work, but he had one important meeting to attend and he was going to be back home in no time.
"I'll come straight home after my meeting." He grabbed his suit jacket off the bed and walked to the other side where she laid and kissed her forehead. "I love you." He kissed her again.
Mya hadn't spoken much since they'd left the hospital a week ago. Jordan took off for the entire week and had everything be arranged for them. He called her jobs and told them she won't be in for a while, he called her family and told them what happened, he called Cassie to fill her in, and he planned the funeral service for Hope.
He made a mental note to stop by Angel's house to see the kids. He didn't want to bring them to the house just yet because Mya wasn't doing well, and he didn't want them to see her the way she is.
After leaving the meeting, Jordan stopped by Angel's house.
"Daddy!" Heaven rushed to her father as he mother opened the door. "Where's Mya?" She asked.
"Mya is still sick, sweetheart." He answered.
"I can make her a get well card." She said.
"Alright, princess, you go on and do that." he said as she ran off.
"Hey," Angel finally spoke, letting him into the house.
"Hey. Where's JJ?" He asked.
"You know he's in his room, playing his game." she answered. "JJ come out here and speak to your daddy!"
A few minutes later, JJ comes out and approaches his dad.
"Do I need to have your mom take your game away from you?" Jordan asked.
"No, sir." he asnwered.
"Okay then, she shouldn't have to tell you to to come speak to anybody, especially me." Jordan fussed.
"I'm sorry dad." JJ said sincerely.
"Go on and play your game now." Jordan let him go.
He and Angel walked into the livng room and there was Zachariah, sleeping in his playpen.
"Dang, little dude is getting big." Jordan commented.
Angel looked at her son and smiled, "he really is. He's a greedy baby." she chuckled, sitting on the couch. "So, how is Mya doing?" she asked.
Jordan let out a sigh as he sat down, "Not good at all. She's in a pretty deep depression."
"Shouldn't you be at home with her?" Angel asked.
"Yeah, I had to go to a meeting and then I wanted to stop by and see the kids."
"Oh okay. I know they miss Mya, especially Heaven. She's been asking me about her for a while, as if I carry Mya in my purse." Angel chuckled.
"I know. She's been in the house for a few weeks and it has not been good."
"Okay, so we know that she's not doing well, but how are you doing?" Angel asked.
"I'm trying to make it." He answered. "I'm trying to be strong for my wife and it's getting harder and harder." Jordan felt as though his emotions were going to get to him, but at that moment, his cell phone rang and he saw that it was Cassie calling.
