"Oh, what about this one?" Mya held up a pink dress that had white polka dots on it. "I bet she'll look cute in this."
"Baby, did you want this swing or the other one we saw down there?" Jordan pointed at the the swing in front of him.
"Get the other one," she responed. "it's cheaper."
"But this one has more features on it."
"She won't be using them, they're not necessary, so she doesn't need all of that. Get the other one." She pointed further down the aisle.
"Alright," he did what she said.
"Lets get another pack of diapers." She said, pointing to the the boxes of Huggies on the shelf.
"Why?"
"Because we're going to need them, duh!"
"How about we wait to get that, besides, you may get some from your babyshower." He suggested.
"We can never have enough, so get a box of Huggies."
"You know," he grabbed one of the boxes, "you've become bossy and I don't think I like it." he said with a slight smile.
"I am not bossy." She walked over to the baby clothes again, "come look at these clothes with me." she requested.
"See, you keep telling me what to do." he chuckled, "but it's okay, I still love you."
"You don't have a choice." She stopped walking and suddenly felt tired. "You know what, we need to get out og Target, because I'm ready for a nap." she took a deep breath.
"Let me go pay for this stuff first, then we'll be headed home, alright?" he said.
"Okay." They went to the register and payed for their items and they were headed home. It was almost noon when they got home and Mya went to sleep. She didn't wake up until almost two.
The next day, Mya was at the studio, finishing up with one of her groups. It was almost seven in the evening and she was waiting on the parents to pick up their students. She was relaxed on the couch near the entrance and spotted Drew walking through the door.
"Hey, Mya." He flahsed a smile.
"Hi," she stood up, "Joy is still in the dressing room, she should be out soon." She said.
"Oh, alright. I'll just sign her out and wait on her."
"Actually, can I talk to you in private for a moment?" He asked.
"Sure," He followed her lead to her office. "Is everything okay?" He asked as they walked into the office.
"Um, that's what I wanted to ask you." She sat in her chair behind her desk.
"What do you mean?" He asked, sitting in the chair on the other side of her desk.
"Before rehearsal started, I caught Joy crying in the locker room and I asked her what was wrong and she said that he missed her mom. Apparently, one of the other girls said something about her mother and it hurt her feelings. I did inform that girl's parent about what happened, but it really got to Joy what she'd said."
Drew had no clue that Joy was really missing LaTrice, he didn't know what he'll do to handle this situation when he sees his daughter.
"I don't like to get into the personal lives of my students and what's going on in their homes, but I was a bit concerned."
"I know what's going on and I know why she was missing her mom, but I had no clue she felt this way about her. I'm sorry you had to witness her crying about it, but I assure yout that I'm handling it." He explained.
