Mya walked into her studio and found her assistant, Veronica, rehearsing a dance in one of the private studios.
"Veronica, guess what?" Mya asked with excitement.
Veronica didn't stop moving to the counts in her head. "What?"
"I got a call today from Cabrini high school." Mya took her shoes off. "Their current dance coach is having a baby and isn't returning, so someone recommended them to me."
Veronica had a surprised look on her face. "Really?" She asked, still moving.
Mya began to stretch her legs. "Yes. They want to schedule an interview tomorrow morning." She grinned. "I never really considered teaching at a school."
"That's awesome! My little cousin goes to that school." Veronica said. "You should definitely go for it. It'll great for you and the studio. Some of the girls on the team may want to join the company here at the studio."
"This is the best news since my engagement." Mya felt nothing but happiness.
"Speaking of the engagement," Veronica said. "How's your fiancé?" She asked. "You two looked extremely happy at the competition. I hope I'm invited to the wedding." She chuckled.
Mya playfully rolled her eyes at Veronica. "Girl, you know you're invited to the wedding."
"Are y'all still choosing dates for when it'll be?" She asked.
"We haven't gotten around to discuss that. I want it to be soon. I don't want to be engaged for forever and a day. You know how some people be engaged for like a year." Mya shook her head. "Nah, I'm trying to get married asap."
"Girl, I know that's right." Veronica agreed. "I need to be looking for me a husband."
"Let the husband find you. That's the key." Mya winked at her. She stood up to her feet. "So what number are we working on today?" She asked.
"I'm doing the senior's dance." Veronica responded.
Another thought ran across Mya's mind. "Speaking of seniors. I was thinking that this year, we could have a lock-in for the seniors, here at the studio."
Liking her idea. "I don't think that's a bad idea." Veronica said.
Working on the dance together, Veronica and Mya discussed the plans and more ideas for their senior group.
That evening when Mya got home, she kicked off her shoes and stretched out on her fainting chair. Her favorite place to sit in the living room. She began to text Jordan and tell him about her interview at Cabrini. She was so excited to tell him.
A little while later, as Mya was watching the news, Cassie walked in the house.
"Guess who just sold, a big ass mansion to one of the hottest rappers of today's time?" Cassie asked, as she threw herself on the large couch.
"Which rapper was it?" Mya sked. "Was it my baby, Kendrick Lamar?"
"Does it matter the rapper is?" Cassie sucked her teeth.
"Just tell me if it's my baby, or nah?" Mya smirked.
Cassie rolled her eyes and exhaled. "No. YaYa!" She busted into laughter.
Mya playfully frowned. "Awe. I guess you're the one that sold that big ass mansion." She emphasized the mansion's size.
"I sold it to that rapper, JB. You know the one that made all those songs with Drake?"
Mya nodded her head.
Cassie went into the kitchen and poured herself a glas of wine and then returned to the living room. "So, check this out." She spoke again as Mya turned the television's volume down. "Dude was flirting with me the entire time we were looking at houses." She grinned.
