Nineteen

Today is the day.

I woke up early to prepare for today's big event because today is our Graduation Day. Today will be the day that I will officially leave the place where I started to dream and to strive hard in order to reach for my dreams.

And now after this day, I will already start reaching my dreams and making it come true.

"Mika! Hindi ka pa ba tapos diyan?" Sigaw ko galing sa baba kasi nasa taas pa si Mika at nagbibihis. Ang bagal!

I was eating a piece of bread when I heard a knock from our door. I immediately went to attend to it and I was shocked when I saw James and Bret outside.

"Hey there young lady! Where's my lovey?" Bret said and gave me a quick hug.

I smiled at them and I didn't expect that they will come here especially James. I thought he will wait for me at the school but he went here to fetch me.

"Nadine sino yan- oh my God baby!"

Mika exaggeratedly shouted and ran towards Bret and  gave her a smack on his lips. I just shook my head and laughed at them. Talagang mga literal na walang hiya. Sa harapan ko pa talaga ginawa.

"Mamaya na yan Bret baka gusto mong pumasok?" I said jokingly and I heard James laughed with what I said.

"Sabi ko nga Madam."

Pumasok na kaming lahat sa loob at nauna sina Bret at Mika. Susunod na sana ako kaso James grabbed my hand and immediately kissed me on the lips. Medyo matagal bago ako nakatugon doon dahil sa gulat ko. Damn it!

"You're lips are just too red and it's tempting me. You just look extra hot and sexy today, baby."

I felt my cheeks turned to red because of James' compliment for me. I'm wearing my black body con dress and a pair of stilettos right now. James just looked so extra handsome because of his white long sleeves paired with his black slacks.

"Ano ka ba! Halika na nga."

We laughed on what happened and we went to the kitchen to have our breakfast first. It was fun and everything was light for the four of us. Napuno ng biruan at harutan ang naging agahan namin.

"Shall we?" James announced after we finish everything. I glanced at my full body mirror for the last time just to check my outfit. I breathed heavily and released it silently. Okay Nadine. Finally, it's happening.

"Let's go."

Lumabas na kaming apat sa dorm namin ni Mika at sumakay na sa sasakyan. Bret and James brought their own respective cars and they agreed that we'll just meet at the entrance of the auditorium.

"Are you ready for you speech later?"

James asked while we're waiting for the green light. I just shrugged my shoulder because I honestly don't know what to feel right now. He grabbed my hand and just the usual thing he does, he kissed the back of my hand and smiled.

"Don't tell me si Nadine Lustre ng Quezon City kinakabahan? C'mon babe you can do it. You're not the summa cum laude in our department for nothing."

I smiled immediately when he said those words because honestly those are the words I wanted to hear right now. My anxiety and insecurities caught me up for a couple of hours and here's James, convincing and cheering me for what will I do later.

"Thank you babe."

I really thank him for coming into my life and for understanding me everyday. It might be too early to say but I want to spend the rest of my life with this man.
