MARA's POV
PILIPINAS!
Sa wakas nakauwi na rin. Bago ko harapin ang nakakainsulto ng height na haba ng traffic sa edsa ay siniguro ko munang walang nakakaalam na umuwi na ako.
I want to surprise everyone, specially Andrei.
But before I see him, I need to see two of the most important people in my life..
I need to tell them everything first.
"**Memorial Park, po." sabi ko sa taxi driver. Agad naman syang nag-paandar and in no time, nakarating kami sa memorial park. Binaba ko ang bagahe ko at naglakad na papunta sa puntod nila bitbit amg mga bulakalak na binili ko kanina. Miss ko na sila.
"Hi mom, hi dad. Kamusta na po kayo?" I hissed as I sat on the bermuda grass around their grave.
"I missed you so much, you know that, right? Pasensya na po kung di ko kayo nadalaw, I went to Hawaii, I needed to find myself." Kung may makakakita sa akin ngayon, siguro iisipin nilang may topak ako sa utak at kinakausap ko ang puntod ng patay but who cares? Gusto ko lang silang kausapin.
"I did, I succeeded. Mom, Dad, I'm really in love now, I became an adult, Sayang di nyo ako nakikita ngayon."I wiped my eye when a tear fell.
It's okay to cry, right?
"Si Andrei po yung mahal ko, don't worry po, mabait naman po sya eh. Kaya lang, baka di niya na ako nahintay." a beam of fear crossed my eyes when I said those words.
What if di niya na ako nahintay?
"But it's still worth it po, diba? Atleast, kahit di man maging kami sa huli, I still manage to find myself.." I tried to smile but my tears still keeps on falling so I just let it fall..
"Mommy, Daddy, I love you so much po." I cried. I just cried.
Nami-miss ko lang sila, I was still a kid when they left and I am already 24 years old now. Parang kailan lang.
"So I guess, Payag sina Tita at Tito na maging tayo? They took me here."
I stiffened the moment I heard his voice. Ang tagal kong di narinig ang boses niya. Ang tagal ko siyang di nakita!
"Hi tita, tito.." he said as he put down a boquet of flowers..
I immediately wiped my tears ad faced him. He still looks the same..
Matangkad.
Matipuno.
Gwapo.
Maputi.
But just got better!
And he's smiling!
"How did you know that I'm here?" nag-aalangan kong tanong.
"I didn't. Your parents wanted me to come here. I was having a drive nung maalala ko sila and look at that!" He said as he gestured at me.
How is he acting this coolly?
Tumayo ako at pinagpagan ang suot kong dress atsaka inayos ang buhok ko. I saw Andrei looking at me pero agad din naman syang nag-iwas ng tingin..
okay?
"U-Uh.. will you, u-umm.. take me to the building?" I hesitatingly asked Andrei.
He looked at me for a second bago niya kinuha ang bagahe ko at dinala sa kotse niya.
It is yes, then?
Nag-drive lang sya ng tahimik. No one dared to say anything, hihinto ang kami pag may traffic light tapos drive ulit.
