MARA's POV
Nakatayo kami ngayon sa labas ng isang unit. Ewan ko kung ilang minuto na ba kaming naghihintay na pagbuksan ng pinto.
Well, pano ba naman kami pagbubuksan ng pinto kung di naman kami kumatok diba?
We're still waiting for someone..
Si Andrei, pabibo kasi ang tagal dumating.
"Ang tagal niya, sa totoo lang." Yana commented as she leaned on the wall. She's right. Ang tagal ni Andrei.
"He'll be here any moment now.." saad ni kuya Mau kaya natahimik kami ulit.
Ano pa nga ba?
Si Kuya Mau, si Kuya Ash, Yana, Athan at Atty. Trinidad ang kasama ko dito sa harap ng unit ni Angeline. Yes, Angeline. We chose to do the legal action. Kailangang bawiin ni Angeline ang sinabi niya kay Samantha or they'll both face the jail. We are going to file a case against the both of them if they won't set their flags straight.
"I'm here." Andrei announced ng makalapit sya sa amin.
"Kala ko di ka na darating eh." Saad ni Athan.
"Traffic." Yun lang at nagsimula ng kumatok si Andrei sa pinto. Agad naman itong bumukas at sumalubong sa amin ang bagong paligong si Angeline..
"As expecte-wait, what are they doing here?" Angeline cut her tongue off when she saw us standing before her.
So it's true then? She did this?
"We're-"
"Let me take it from here, Andrei." Seryosong saad ni Atty. Trinidad tsaka nilapitan ang inis na si Angeline.
Disappointed?
"We're here to personally talk to you, Ms. Cruz. Will you let us come in?" Magalang na pahayag ng lalaki.
Angeline rose her eyebrow towards Atty. Trinidad before speaking.
"And who gave you the idea of me letting you get inside?"
Tsk.. For sure di sya papayag. Hays, ano na attorney?
"Well, we can talk here. That's if you want your neighbors to hear our conversation." Lumingon lingon pa si Atty. Trinidad sa paligid na ginawa rin namin. May mga tenants na nakasilip na sa amin, maraming nasa labas na at nakatingin sa gawi namin, may naglalabas pa ng mga cellphones nila. Good thing that I'm wearing a hoodie right now, same as Yana, Athan and Andrei. Sina Kuya Mau at Kuya Ash naman ay naka-cap at shades.
I saw how Angeline's reaction changed as she widened the opening of her door, letting us in. Pumasok din naman kami at pumwesto sa may sala. Makakaupo na rin.
"I will go straight to the point, Ms. Cruz. My client wants to file a case against you." Diretsong saad ni Atty. Trinidad habang gulat naman ang mukha ni Angeline.
"E-Excuse me? And why is that?" Bakas sa tono niya ang kaba dahil sa nalaman. Good for you.
"You know why, Ms. Cruz, You will be charged Libel for spreading false accusations in public together with your friend Ms. Samantha Escudero."
Angeline was just standing there. Maybe she is really surprised? Well, she should be. Samaniego ang isinangkot nya dito besides, Pamilya na rin ako kaya alam kong nag-aalala din sila sa sitwasyon ko.
"And what evidence do you have?" This time, I was the one who felt nervous.
None, we have no evidence. It's just full accusation too. But the hints are pointing to her, sya lang naman ang nakakaalam maliban samin nina Andrei and Tim and Tim will never put me at stake. Sya lang din ang may motibo.
