Chapter 27 - Klaus

I sighed as I crossed my arms and began to walk along the pond while looking off at it. 

"What is he talking about Jess?"

Elena asked as she and Elijah were close behind me

"Klaus has been trying to break it for the last 1000 years I would imagine..right 'Lijah?"

I asked not even looking back

"Yes..that has been his main focus since your disappearance...with out you Jessika, Elena was his only hope"

Elijah said turning to look at Elena. Elena's phone was buzzing in Elijah's pocket. I could hear it

"What is this curse?"

Elena asked confused but Elijah sighed

"Your phone will not stop it's incessant buzzing. Answer it, please"

Elijah said giving it Elena. Elena sighed taking it

"Stephan- - What's wrong?"

Elena looked at me and Elijah.Fear struck her face

"No. No, no, no no. Okay, we'll be right there"

Elena said then hung up. 

"Klaus went after Jenna. I have to go to her Jess can you help me? Please"

Elena said in panic. I looked up at Elijah

"I'm afraid that wasn't part of today's arrangement..and I'm really not sure that I like you dragging Jessika into it, knowing Klaus wants to take her from all of us"

Elijah said putting his hands in his pocket.

"She's my family Elijah. I have to. I'll be back. We'll...be back. You have my word"

Elena said looking at me then back to Elijah. He sighed

"That doesn't mean anything to me until you live up to it...but you will not be taking Jessika"

Elijah said grabbing my hand

"Lijah, it's her family..you and I know better than anybody what we would do for family. She needs my help 'LIjah"

I said taking a step to him and gently touching his chest. 

"Please...please Jessika..be safe..and come back to me. Niklaus has taken many things from me over the years...I pray you do not become one of them"

Elijah said pulling me close. I blushed

"You know I'll be back to you 'Lijah..no amount of sweet talk or threats will make me want to stay with him"

I said touching his cheek. He pulled me in a deep kiss, Elena turned around to give us a moment. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed back. He left a few feather light kissed on my lips, before staring into my eyes, our noses touching

"Please be careful. Don't let your guard down"

Elijah said kissing my lips, and then my forehead. I smiled up at him

"I love you"

I said kissing his cheek. He gave me a ghost of a smile

"Go on then"

He said and with that we ran off to get to her car. 

(Elijah's pov)

I watched as Jessika took Elena's hand and used her speed to take off. My smile instantly dropped as worry fell over me.
