After training (capture the flag at midnight)
We all sit down, eating dinner. Zeke, Shauna, and Four are completely unaware of the capture the flag game tonight. It's gonna be awesome. Uriah and I already have a strategy.

Amar will pick the strong, built people. They aren't fast though. We decided to pick the fast ones with relatively good aim. Then we can get to their flag quickly.

"I recommend you go to bed, " I state simply before getting up with Uriah. It's only six, but we wake them up at midnight. "What?" Zeke asks, but we pretend not to hear anything.
Tobias
I stand up. "Where are you going?" Zeke asks and I shrug. "To bed. I'm trusting my instructors," I state simply and turn to leave. I need to do what I can to stay in this. I have to make it.

I get back to the dorm and sit down on my bed. I put my arms behind my head and stare at the ceiling. I'm not tired at all, but I need to sleep. I trust that Tris and Uriah wouldn't tell us that as a joke. Initiation is already a big pain in the ass.

My eyes open to the sound of metal pounding on metal. I jump up, covering my ears as I slide my feet into the shoes I placed neatly by the side of my bed. "BE TO THE TRACKS IN FIVE MINUTES!" I know that voice. Tris Pedrad. I grab a leather jacket and put it on as I run to the tracks.

I'm the first transfer here. There are guns and ammo spread out and Amar barks at us to grab some. What is going on?
Tris
Four is the first to show up and Amar shouts at him to go get a gun. He stands there and appears nervous. To be fair, he doesn't know what's going on.

"I assume you listened, " I say, walking up to him. He nods. "It's just a game. You seem nervous." I see him relax a little bit. "Thanks, " he says with a nod. I nod in return.

"Get a gun and get on!" I yell as the train nears us. Uriah, Amar, and I open the doors and slip in. "We're gonna crush you, " Uriah says, pointing at Amar. Amar laughs and shakes his head. "That's not happening." Oh, it is.

The Initiates get in and clump in groups of friends. Zeke and Shauna seem extra tired. I guess they didn't listen. We tried to warn them. It's not our fault they didn't listen.

Amar explains the game while Uriah and I stand there patiently, him not really. "I'll let you pick first, " Amar says. "Ladies first, " I retort with a small now. Initiates laugh. "Okay, Zeke." We didn't want him anyway. Shauna is a good pick though. We already decided previously. We don't know how well Shauna can shoot.

"Four, " we say at the same time. All eyes turn to him and he looks confused. Four stands froze in place. "You comin'?" I ask and he walks over. "Eric, " Amar calls. Bad choice. "Shauna, " I say and see that Zeke really wanted her on his team. They probably would be made out the whole time anyway.

We gather our team on one side and Amar keeps his on that side. "We're off first, " he says and we shrug. That's just fine. The second has better hiding spots, but they have Navy Pier. We would win either way.

"What's the plan?" Four asks. "That's for you guys to come up with, but we have to crush Zeke, Amar, and Eric, " I answer and a few laugh. "Who's Zeke?" A transfer asks. "Our brother, " Uriah and I answer at the same time. "You're related?"

"Twins actually, " we reply in sync.

We do look like complete opposites. The only similar trait is that we are prodigies. It's weird.

"Hide it in the merry go round and send most out for offense, " Shauna suggests and they agree on it. We decide not to tell them that last years group hid it there.

"You six stay here, " Shauna says, taking charge. Nobody disagrees. "Six, Eight, you're with us." We nod and raise our guns.

Their flag glows in the distance. I stand in the front of the group, aiming ahead. We turned all our lights off so they wouldn't see us, but we can see their flashlights behind us. We sent a few people to go knock them out of the game.

It's only Uriah, Shauna, Four, Lauren, and I left. We see three large shadows crowd around the glowing flag. "Six and Four go left. Uriah and I go right. Lauren, go front, " Shauna instructs and we nod. Four and I break off to the side. He seems pretty comfortable with a gun.
Tobias
She just had to send me with Tris. I try not to groan out of frustration. Don't get me wrong, I want to be with her.i just wish she felt the same way about me that I do about her. In probably just a stupid transfer to her.

The three large shadows look around and begin to talk. "We totally got this." They high five each other. "Your sister is hot, " one says and I curl my lip in disgust. "Fuck off, " Zeke retorts, not denying it.

She is hot. Tris may not be super curvy, but she had this thing about her and I love it. I can't quite figure out what it is.

"I'll distract, you grab the flag, " She says and I nod. Why would she send me in? She's a better shot. Tris runs off to the side, purposely being loud. They all turn to her and rapid fire. Shauna, Lauren, and Uriah must catch the drift and shoots them all in the back. I run to them and grab the flag. Tris comes out, unscathed and paint free.

"Told ya we'd win, " she retorts and fake shoots them with her fingers. "And don't talk about me like that, " she adds, glaring at Eric. Uriah and Zeke show small smiles. Eric's face turns pale and he walks away briskly. Shauna and Amar start cracking up.

"That was not funny. He is an imbecile, " Tris says, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms. "It's just funny to see how scared he was of you, " Amar says through laughter.

"Who isn't scared of her?" I ask with a smile. "I would hope you're scared of me, " Tris says, putting a palm on her chest.

We jump onto the train and I stand with Zeke and Shauna. "Do people really talk like that often?" I ask and they nod. "It's disgusting, " Zeke scrunches his nose. "Zeke knows not to do that because Tris looks about ready to kill those people, " Shauna says and clings to his arm. They're cute.

"What?" Zeke asks. "Only the fact that you two are good together," I reply with a smile. Shauna slightly blushes in the dark. They do. I want someone to love like that. "Surprised to hear that from a stiff," Zeke retorts. "Until he beats you in initiation, " a soft voice says from behind me. Tris.

"Shut up." She walks next to me, her smirk glowing in the dark. "He already beat the odds by beating her fears," Uriah butts in and she nods. "I just wanna beat that asshole, " I chime in and they laugh. "Please do, " Tris replies with that amazing smile of hers.

We get back to the dorms and I feel Eric's glare resting on me. He better not do anything. I'm actually pretty happy and I don't want him to ruin that already.

"Oh, the stiff was picked first. How does it feel to be pity picked?" What does that mean? Did she pick me because she felt bad? No. She wouldn't do that. She wouldn't give up the win. "Pretty good, second pick, " I retort with a smirk as I pull out my pajamas.

I'm not looking at him, trying not to provoke him even more. Why can't he just accept that he isn't the best at everything?

"They only picked you because she knows you won't be here for long." I roll my eyes. Even if they did, I was still their first pick.

"Actually, we picked him because he's fast and a good shot, " Tris says. Why is she always here? Geez. "Unlike you," Uriah adds. I turn to see Eric's scowl.

"Why are you even here?" He spits at them. They laugh and shake their heads. "Had a feeling you would act like a jerk again." I try not to laugh
She is such a smartass and I love it.

"And she was right. She's smarter than you and you were a knowse, " Uriah laughs. We can hear a few snickers from transfers. Eric stalks back off to his bed in defeat. I cockily smirk even though I didn't do much.

"Training is canceled tomorrow!" Tris calls out, turning around with Uriah. A few of us clap, but the others are already asleep. I didn't realize how tired I was even though I went to bed early. These dauntless games really wear a person out.

At least we don't have to train and I can just sleep in. Training would be pretty fun if I wasn't being judged and ranked on it.

I slip under the scratchy blanket and lat my head on the hard pillow. They really need to replace this stuff. I gaze at the wall to my left, watching the small flashes of light. I might actually make it here. Maybe.

AN: Sorry about the short chapter. I didn't want to add a part that would make the chapter too long. ✌
