Tobias
Tris is leaving in a few days and all of us are gonna play capture the flag tonight. Honestly, I feel like absolute shit, but I don't want to ruin the time for them. My head hurts and I'm extremely nauseous. My stomach in knots and I'm sweating, even though I'm freezing.

Tris is leaving and I don't want to worry her or anything. Probably just a bug anyway. I know she won't go if I'm sick. Stupid abnegation test result. Last night I told her that I had a night shift so she wouldn't spend the night. She seemed a bit suspicious, but whatever. I really don't care at this point.

I'll be fine. Capture the flag is gonna be awesome. Especially since we don't have to play with the initiates. Zeke mentioned zip lining but Tris declined. I know she wanted to but knew I didn't. How could someone as perfect as her even give a shit about me?
That night...
Tris
The seven of us all stand in the train, guns strapped around our shoulders. "Four isn't getting off by the ferris wheel, " Zeke teases. "One time, " Tobias laughs, holding up his index finger. "One time that almost killed you, " Uriah retorts. "Fuck off, " he says, shoving him lightly into the wall. "Helps to be tiny, " I add with a smirk.

Tobias raises his arm and puts his elbow on my head. "You are short, " he teases. I poke his side and slam into him. He hits the wall and I smirk. "But I can still do that, " I reply, my smirk growing by the second. "Damn you're aggressive, " he laughs, shoving me back jokingly.

"You wanna play that game?" I swing my leg at him but stop an inch away from where the sun doesn't shine. "I think you don't." I pull my leg back. "How did you grow up with her? Geez, " he asks. "Without a choice, " Zeke retorts. I playfully glare and stick my tongue out.

"How about girls verse boys?" Lynn suggests, flipping her gun around. I raise my eyebrows at the three boys. "Works for me, " Tobias says. "We are gonna beat your asses, " Marlene taunts and Uriah snorts. "You and that damn dirty mind, " she says, slapping the back of his head. "You said yes, " Zeke laughs and she glares at him. He raises his hands in surrender.

The boys jump off near the pier but are stupid enough to leave their lights on. Imbeciles. We can easily spot them.

"So, what's the plan?" Marlene asks, all of us huddling out of the cool wind. "I'm gonna climb the Ferris wheel," I say, peeking out the door at it. "Okay. What's a good spot?" Shauna asks. We stand in silence, not being able to think of anything. "Well, we gotta jump now, " I say, hurling myself into the mushy grass.

Shauna jumps carefully, being sure to keep her stomach safe. Being pregnant in dauntless is quite hard sometimes. Lynn holds the flag as we turn all of our lights off. We aren't as stupid as they are.

I run to the Ferris wheel and climb the creaking ladder. It's weird not hearing loud creaks behind me caused by Tobias. The climb seems eerier without him. Too quiet.

I reach the platform and look out. The glow of the flag travels with two lights. The third isn't visible. Seriously? They haven't even hidden the flag yet. I see a flash out of the corner of my eyes and see a flashing light. Tobias. I wave and he stops flashing. All the lights go off, including Zeke and Uriah's.

Their flag shines brightly on the pier. I start climbing the ladder quickly. The faster I go, the less likely it is to break beneath me. I get three-quarters of the way down when I look down to see if our flag is hidden yet. There's a snap as the bar beneath me gives way.

I fall to the ground, landing on my knees. Marlene rushes over and helps me up. I'm probably just bruised. She bombards me with questions as I just brush myself off. "They hid it by the carousel, " she says and I nod.

"Tris and Lynn will go out and Mar and I will stay to guard." Lynn and I look to each other and nod. "Go!" She whisper yells and we're off, both going to each side.
