Tobias and I stand on the roof, waiting for all the transfers to show up. I wouldn't be surprised if all of them were late because they didn't take it seriously.

The sound of loud talking and footsteps echoes around the rooftop surrounding us. I turn to Tobias and he looks at the entrance before quickly pecking my cheek. I smirk at him and he smiles guiltily. I roll my eyes and shake my head at him. I love him so much.

"Today you all will be learning how to shoot a gun," Tobias begins, grabbing a gun and tossing it to me. I catch it and receive a few strange looks. "You could've hurt her," Carson spits at him, stepping towards Tobias with his chest puffed out to seem intimidating. Let's just say he failed. Tobias scoffs at him. "If I wanted to hurt her, I would've," he replies, flashing his eyes over to me briefly. "I'm not as weak as I seem. Now get your ass back with the others before there's a bullet in your arm," I threaten and he steps back to the others.

"Threatening initiates, are we?" Eric questions with a sinister smirk. Tobias and I instinctively groan. "That's rich coming from you," Tobias retorts. Shauna walks out from behind Eric. Why is she anywhere near the initiates? "Shauna, I recommend you go. They probably don't have too good of aim," I warn. She flashes a quick smile before backing up.

"Eric, why don't you stand right in front of a target?" Some of the initiates laugh a but, but he shoots them a glare. "Watch your mouth, bitch." Tobias tenses, but I give him a look to keep his opinion to himself.

"What do you want, Eric?" He looks around, scanning the faces of scared initiates. Eric doesn't answer. "I'm Eric, a dauntless leader." He puffs out his chest. "Yet you got second," I say with a smirk. He becomes less cocky. Tobias hides his smile and Shauna doesn't even bother to try not to laugh. "I could have you fired," he spits. I guess he forgot that I used to be his instructor, got first, and am also a dauntless leader. "You couldn't even if you tried. I guess your forgetting i'm a dauntless prodigy since I was six, your instructor, and a leader." He stands there. The initiates seem shocked by the minor fight.

"Whatever, shortie." I smirk, knowing that I won this time. "Shauna and I will oversee your initiation and help with final testing. Feel free to give these two some difficulty." I raise the gun and shoot so it skims the fabric of his jacket. "You bitch." I laugh and turn to face Tobias. Both of us wear proud smirks. "Come on, Eric," Shauna says, sounding bored. Eric glares at us as he walks out, following her. Finally.

"As we were saying, today you will learn to shoot a gun. Six has already given you a demo, so grab a gun and get started," Tobias says, glancing at me when I'm mentioned. They all scamper to grab guns and ammunition from the barrels.

Apparently, it's rare to know that guns have a safety mode because around half of them couldn't figure out why the gun wasn't shooting. Imbeciles. "Stand up straighter," I advise Lila. "Thanks, Six," she says with too much pep for dauntless. Tobias is helping Bella, a candor. She looks him up and down, biting her lip. She says something and Tobias shakes his head, says something, and rolls his eyes.

"Let me guess, she was hitting on you?" I ask as we walk off to lunch. "How did you know?" He answers with a small laugh. I shrug. "The way you rolled your eyes, " I reply, pushing the door open for us. "Well, you're correct, " he says.

We sit down next to each other at the usual table. "Why were you with Eric?" I ask, spitting his name like venom. "Where I was assigned, " she answers with a shrug. "Douchebag, " she mutters under her breath. Uriah makes a face like he just realized something.

"You're the only guy Tris hasn't called a douchebag, " he tells Tobias. He raises his eyebrows at me and I shrug. "You aren't, " I reply and bite into my burger. "You sure you don't want to change your answer?" He asks with a small laugh. "You're more of a bitch, " I say with a smirk. Everyone at the table laughs.
