The room around me is almost pitch black. A single window in the corner lets in daylight. The ground is covered in dirt and grime. Both my arms are count to a pole with chains that dig into my flesh.

Tobias had to be okay. He has to be home and alive. I would do anything just to know. Please, god, let him be okay. I need my Tobias.

Who brought me here? Why am I here? How can I get out of here? Just then, there is a loud breaking sound, but I can't turn to face it. A deep chuckle rattles through the echoey room. "Hello, Beatrice."

Five days later...
Today is the day. They're reading her will today. I have to go. Apparently, she left things for me. All of us have to go, even the boys.

I slip on a leather jacket and wipe the tears from my face. I haven't seen the gang since that day. Today is the day I have to face them. I have to see how much they hate me.

All of us are to meet in a conference room. I walk in and see Hana and Lynn are already there, faces stained with tears. They seem surprised when they see me. I couldn't not go. Hana stands and hugs me. I briefly hug back. Lynn and I do the same.

Everyone comes in at the same time. Liam and Noah run to me and it just makes me cry even more. They should be hugging Tris right now. I crouch down and hug them. "Why is everyone so sad?" Liam asks with a sensitive expression.

Everyone looks at me, waiting for a response. "Because Aunt Tris had to go somewhere." That's the best I could think of. "When will she come home?" Noah asks excitedly. "She's not gonna come home, bud, " I reply, biting my lip so it won't quiver.

"But she didn't say bye, " Noah says in a confused voice. "I know." I stand again and close my eyes as the tears fall. A small hand places itself in mine. "It's okay. She can surprise us, " Liam says in an innocent tone. I don't have the heart to tell him that she can't.

We all sit around the oval table with Hana at the head. "She said specifically that it was to be read before her funeral, " she begins. "I don't know why."

"At the funeral, there must be cake r Four won't go, " She quotes directly from the paper. Oh my God. She remembered that. My breath grows shaky as everyone stares. "I can't believe she did that, " I say with a small laugh. "That was a joke when, " I sniffle, "when Peter Drew and Al tried to kill her. The next morning she Said bit hurt to breathe and that Peter would throw a party if she stopped breathing."

I take a deep breath. "And I joked that I would only go if there was cake." This makes me burst into sobs. I feel all the pitiful eyes on me, but I don't even care.

"And everyone has to wear their pajamas." All of us let out a weak, forced laugh. She's the best. I bite down on my lip, making it bleed. I taste the blood but don't stop.

"She said to take her points and split it: 65% will be split among all nephews' savings accounts and the other 35% among the adults. It never specifically said them. It just said nieces/nephews/her kids/grandkids" She passes us all envelopes. I want to rip it, but I don't have the strength.

During these five days, I've eaten only 3 ish meals in total. I haven't gone to work either. I mostly just sleep and cry.

"Everything in her office is for Uriah to divvy up. The things in her apartment are for anyone. Now that she lives with Four, I believe he decides what to do." What am I supposed to do? "Everything left in my house is let's to me." We nod sadly.

"She also wrote letters to everyone." Hana passes everyone an envelope, but Zeke and Uriah more than one. Probably for the kids.

"Please tell any and all embarrassing stories about me. Or just something funny." All of us laugh slightly, not able to contain it. "That's her in a nutshell," Lynn says quietly.
