|~Author POV~|

Ydris started to approach [Y/N]'s body as Meteor let out a low snort. This alerted Linda and she stood up and Meteor and her moved between Ydris and [Y/N], shielding his view from her.

"If you dare to take another step into her direction I'll make you regret it" Linda threatened. It was the first time she actually did such a thing, but she won't let him hurt [Y/N] more than he already did.

There was a sudden movement behind Linda, causing her to turn around. It was [Y/N]! She turned to lay on her stomach to breathe properly. Her breathing was still heavy and her mout was still overfoaming, but at least she didn't pass out.

"[Y/N]!" Linda exclaimed as she kneeled down next to her and placed a hand on her neck. [H/N] let out a fuming snort and placed himself/herself next to Meteor, protecting his/her rider from gaining further damage.

"Change her back!" Luka demanded as he abruptly got up from the ground. Ydris remained silent for a few seconds, staring at [Y/N], until he spoke up. "I said the first horse to cross the line. Your dear [Y/N] made it through second."

Luka clenched his fists tightly and went to bite back, but a loud, pained neigh disturbed him and everybody turned their attention to [Y/N]. She tried to stand up, but there was something that prevented her.

[H/N] ran over to [Y/N] with fear. He/She rubbed his forehead against her's, clueless on how to help her. Fear was written in her eyes.

"Don't you see you're causing her pain?!" Luka shouted with fury, worry and despair. Ydris coldly clicked his fingers and the group disappeard into a puff of purple smoke.

As soon as they were gone, Ydris allowed to let his guard down. His cold expression morphed into a pained and concerned one. Over and over the words "I'm sorry" and "What have I done" raced through his mind, yet he wondered why [Y/N] cried out in so much agony. Because, one thing was sure.

His magic didn't cause the pain.

|~Your POV~|

The puff of smoke disappeared into thin air and the group was outside the meadow. The pain in your side didn't ease. It got even stronger and more unbareable, feeling like your whole body was on fire.

"Deary?" Worry struck [H/N]'s tone as he/she came closer to you "Can you stand up?"

You wanted to answer, because no you couldn't stand up. The burning in your veins was killing you and you were still on this horrible meadow. You wanted nothing more than stand up and run away, but you couldn't.

"That's enough, I'll call Lisa." Linda said, her voice still masking panic. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and typed Lisa's name. Luka kneeled down in front of you and lifted your head onto his lap as he started to caress your face gently.

"Lisa is coming" Linda said after a while in a relieved tone as she sat down as well. She stroked your hot, sweaty neck and constantly told you that everything will be fine and that they'll find a way to fix that. Let's just hope Lisa arrives fast...

--Time Skip--

Luckily Lisa wasn't far away. She arrived five minutes after Linda called and Starshine was visibly exhausted, she probably pushed him far across his limits.

"I came as fast as possible" Lisa said as she dismounted Starshine and ran towards Linda.

"A... golden Lusitano?" Lisa asked perplexed.

"Lisa, that's [Y/N]" Linda explained as she pointed at you. A gasp escaped Lisa's mouth and she wordlessly stared at you. The shock in her must be deep because she was as stiff as a stick. Lisa sat down next to Linda.
