Chapter 20: Back at One

"Are you happy now?" Tanya sarcastically asked Kurt. After Keun Suk left, he stayed for a little while to make sure Belle was ok. "Is this what you want? To get them hurt again?"

"You have no idea of how much they are hurting even now..." he reprimanded her.

"And you have? Just because you found her doesn't give you any right to speak as if you know Be-"

"She was crying," he cut her words. "Do you even know that? No, you don't, because your too preoccupied with hiding every single truth from her... you didn't even see that she has been hiding her pain to you as well."

"What do you mean Oppa?" asked Abby who came into view, she seems to be listening from the other side of the door.

"Her heart was letting her mind remember what it has forgotten... her dreams, they were all of him..." he heard both girls gasped. "Did she even tell you that? How she would cry every time she wakes up from that dream and feel all the emptiness inside her? I guess no...

"Are you still going to deny the reason why she found herself walking inside AP Shop or the reason why of all places she wanted to come back her in Japan? No matter how many times you lie, you can never stop her heart or even her mind," he continued.

"They smile to show people they are happy, but they cry on the inside for the emptiness they feel... they are so alike... both of them. Do you understand now?" he said.

Abby was silently sobbing while Tanya was in a daze as if everything he said was an out of this world story but still it hit her to the core.

"Whatever they decide with their future, atleast let them have the closure they needed to heal their hearts." Kurt said feeling odd. It seems like he could feel the pain both Keun Suk and Belle are enduring.

After running away from the hospital, Keun Suk returned to Korea. He smiled and did his prior commitments like nothing happened. He was back to his normal self. He worked so hard not to let anyone know of his breaking heart.

Keun Suk must have gone crazy when he once again hired the private investigator he hired before to find Belle and her friends. He have the PI investigate the girls, their lives for the past year; what they do, where they live and how they have been. Later on he learned everything, even the accident that happened on the release of his single.

The next few days has been busy for Keun Suk. He wanted to finish his work the soonest possible time so he can go back to Japan, however he had important tasks to be done, so he can only rely on the PI as he send pictures or videos on the activities of the girls for the next few days.

After Belle was released from the hospital, the girls went to Fukushima. It seems like Abby and Tanya doesn't want Belle to think of anything, regarding him or the accident, and it was evident with their activities for the past 3 days. From mountain climbing to travelling to far fetched places, to enjoying a view from a sky bridge or crossing frozen rivers or just simply trekking, they seem to have set their minds to tire Belle out, not to give her any opportunity to think of anything or be alone even for a second.

That day Keun Suk was getting worried for it was lunch time and the PI haven't sent him any news about the girls activity.

"Sir, the girls haven't left the hotel yet," said the PI.

A crease appeared on his head. "Are you sure? It's almost lunch time. Are you sure you didn't loose them?" He was starting to get anxious. It felt like he received a full kick in the stomach.

"Yes Sir, I am sure. One of them went out earlier and came back with three cups of coffee, an hour has past since then. Oh wait Sir, I think I saw one of them coming out of the lobby. She had a luggae in tow."

Anticipation started rising his blood levels. Where could they be going? last time they went South to North, could it be just like last time... and the answer came to his mind, like water, the idea flowed freely.

Sapporo.

That was a few hours ago. Keun Suk secretly flew again from Korea to New Chitose Airport. And now he was tailing Belle.

A little earlier, when he arrived at the hotel where the girls are staying, he saw Tanya and Abby went out without Belle. A few minutes after, he saw her leave the hotel as well. He thought she was going to follow where her friends went but he was wrong. As he follow her, he found her looking at the entrance of the same ski resort they went into a year ago.

What are you doing Belle? Have your memories returned? he can't help but ask.

Anger and excitement was filling his heart, he doesn't know what exactly to feel at that moment. He want to rush to her and shake her for the answers he has been waiting for but a part of him wanted to remain on that moment and just freely watch her like he has been doing since the first time.

Belle was looking at the mountain of snow in front of her. Surprise, excitement, fear and even guilt are filling her heart and mind. Yesterday while they were on the way to the hotel, she saw a billboard of that ski resort and she had the feeling of dejavu... like it wasn't the first time she had seen that place and while she was researching about it secretly last night, she had that strong feeling that she had really been on that place before.

Up the mountain she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. The happy screams, the chattering, the heavy footsteps in the snow, the sound of the ski gliding on the snow, even the whispers of the wind... she felt her heart skipped a beat. She opened her eyes and...

I've been here, she thought.

This mountain... I've seen this a hundred times... in my dreams... I have been here.

She filled her lungs with the cold mountain air. It felt nice to be back, she said then skied her way down the slope.

It was so much fun. The adrenaline rush, the thrill. The first time she tried it again in Tokyo together with BB Oppa, even though she didn't get her memories back, one thing was confirmed, she know how to ski.

After having so much fun skiing, she sat on the snow and looked around her. She felt so refreshed. There were times when she felt another skier would accompany her or skillfully pass her. It was nice but since she didn't know them she just thought of it as funny.

She was about to go up again when all of a sudden she saw a couple holding each others hand. It seems like he was teaching her to ski. It was a nice sight and she enjoyed watching them. Then when he let go of her hand, she saw him went ahead and waited for her below with his arms wide.

Aw... So sweet... she smiled to herself. As the couple crashed into each others arms, they went down the snow rolling and laughing there hearts out. She thought the scene was too much for her bitter heart and decided to leave but she felt her knees wavered.

Slumping on the snow, she held her head. Memories were flooding her head its making her dizzy. She wanted to scream as her head started aching, she thought its cracking or something. She was loosing focus as she grabbed her hair and moaned in pain. Tears clouded her eyes.

Right then a man caught her before she fell on the snow. Holding her head, she looked at his worried face. She could be dreaming, maybe she is for at the back of her mind, she could remember the words her head was screaming.
