Chapter 22: Breaking Hearts

"Actually, we have thought of a plan," said Belle and everyone in the room look at her.

That morning they were all hauled in Keun Suk Oppa's suite. A little earlier, they have learned that 2 boats carrying media people tried to land into the island, however the resort staff and security were able to stop them and they left but that meant that they are no longer safe to stay in the resort... much more they are disrupting the resort business even if the owner were helping them a 100 percent.

And so they all decided to talk about their next plan.

"What is it Belle?" asked Keun Suk Oppa.

"Earlier, Abby and Tanya went to talk with the resort management and they offered to help us leave the island."

"Really?" Kwang Soo asked excitedly.

"How?" asked Keun Suk Oppa. He wasn't smiling as if he already knew it wasn't a favorable option for both of them.

"Mr Buenavidez is a pilot and he offered to fly us to Cebu this afternoon... just us three," she told them, biting her lip. Belle could hear the grunt of Kwang Soo while the others only looked at her as if it was a normal thing to do. Kurt Oppa looked worried but tried smiling at her, Na Young was as usual, disappointed and disgusted while Keun Suk Oppa looked sad all of a sudden. Belle could feel her heart being pinched.

But Keun Suk Oppa didn't say a word, he just looked at her and squeezed her hand.

"Why does it sound to me that your only saving yourself here," snickered Na Young. She looked straight at Belle with condensing eyes.

"What?" Abby retaliated but Tanya stopped her before she could even say anything more.

"Na Young, what are you saying... stop it," rebuked Kurt Oppa.

"Why? What did I say wrong. That's just how it sounded to me. While we stay here and be the bait for those media hounds, they will be flying away as safely as they can be," she hissed, her upper lip twisted up and grunted.

"Isn't that the whole point of this conversation... the safety of Belle and her friends," said Keun Suk Oppa looking straightly at Na Young who looked aghast at what he had just said.

"I can't believe this. I can't believe this at all," she said almost raising her voice. "And what about me? Us? Ju Ae... Han Sung... I can't believe you all agreed to it. We would be risking our necks for their safety? Why? Just who are they for me?"

"You can go with them if you want, there are 4 seats, you can –"

"hell no," interjected Na Young at what Keun Suk Oppa was saying. She looked so mad at the suggestion. "What is wrong with all of you? Am I really the only one sensible here?"

But nobody said anything, her friends just looked at Na Young as if begging her to calm down.

"This is ridiculous. I can't believe this. You are all crazy. You'd risk your safety for her? And I can't believe you thought about it," she scorned at Belle, who was feeling remorseful next to Keun Suk, "well I shouldn't have been surprised, this is not the first time you've been selfish after all," she angrily said and stormed out of the room leaving everyone behind.

Kurt Oppa and Han Sung were calling her but she went and slammed the door.

"I'm sorry Belle," said Ju Ae.

"It's alright. She wasn't completely wrong," Belle answered.

"No," Abby spoke suddenly, "it wasn't Belle who suggested it. It was me who suggested and acted-"

"It's alright Ab," Belle interrupted and smiled sadly, "she really has got a point. Let's just drop that idea and think of some-"

"No," this time it was Keun Suk and Kurt Oppa who interjected simultaneously. They looked at each other as if they knew what each other was thinking and nodded silently in agreement.
