Chapter 11: Melting

Snow had started pilling up on the empty pavement. In that cold evening, nobody was crazy enough to wade their way through the snow and even the cars were all heading their way back home.

Belle felt empty. She wants to go home too, back to the place where its warm and comfortable.

"Belle! Belle!?" called Keun Suk Oppa. "Are you okay? You're spacing out," he said as he climbed back into the car, a bag of groceries in his arm.

"Ahh... I'm okay. I was just thinking what to tell Tanya. She was calling asking where we are but don't worry about it Oppa," she looked at him and tried to smile. She felt how lame her excuse was. "Is that the ice cream Oppa?"

Belle tried to distract him from studying her face by rummaging the groceries he bought for them. Keun Suk Oppa offered to treat her because she seems down and so they end up agreeing on ice cream. Instead of going into shops or malls, they decided to have a sweet date in the car at the parking lot of the convenience store he just came from.

"Woahh, chips and marshmallow... my favorite!" Belle exclaimed when she saw the big pouch of marshmallow.

He smirked. "You're happy?" Belle nodded and continued emptying the bag.

"So what should we watch," he asked, reached his bag at the backseat for the laptop.

"Anime," Belle said instantly.

"Really?" he looked amused at her choice. "Shouldn't we be watching some romantic one? After all this is our first movie date," he suggested but Belle insisted she wants anime.

They ended up playing rock - paper- scissors game and both are very determined to win. Belle doesn't want to watch a romantic movie for she might get pretty awkward when the 'you know what' scenes pop up so she became pretty competitive about winning.

Best of three and Belle ends up winning. She chose to watch 'Detective Conan - The Darkest Nightmare'. Keun Suk Oppa's expression was so funny, his brows were totally connected on a single line and Belle found it so hard to supress her laugh. "It's one of my favorite so just bare with me on this one, okay Oppa?" she told him.

Keun Suk Oppa couldn't do anything but be amazed. So much for the first romantic movie date he had in mind.

However, Belle wasn't able to focus on what she was watching. It's not like Keun Suk Oppa is not familiar with Detective Conan but he keeps asking her a lot of questions about who, what, where and everything about the movie. Belle on the other hand, can't help but answer cause when it comes to anime that she likes and she knows about, she really can't stop herself from talking. It served as a good distraction for her anyway. She was able to forget her worries for a while and just enjoy the movie.

Keun Suk Oppa was acting sweet every now and then. Handing her water, caressing her hair, feeding her with marshmallow or sharing the same spoon and ice cream. It was a little awkward but she was determined not to ruined the mood and just enjoy the moment she had.

After the movie, he was surprised to see Belle crying but instead of hugging and comforting her, he found it amusing and laughed out loud.

"I can't help it. Its just so sad," she said in between her sobs. She was sure that one of the reasons for her tears was about what happened earlier, though she dare not say it. "Laugh all you want Oppa."

"Sorry... sorry... I am not laughing anymore," he tried to supress his laughs and hold her but she pretended to be mad. "Common. I didn't mean it Belle. You're just so cute. ha ha ha"

"Now that I think about it, I think Oppa is like Genta... because he loves unagi... don't you love unagi Oppa?" she teased him.

Sticking out her tongue alittle, it was her time to laugh. He just stared at her, mesmerized with her as if that was the first time he heard her laugh heartily.

Next thing she knew Keun Suk Oppa was so close and then he covered her lips with his. Her heart was pounding so hard. Its like she can't hear anything but the beating of their hearts and it was getting faster and faster. He lightly caressed her cheeks and she felt herself melting in his touch. With her eyes closed, she let him for she was loosing herself.

Belle's hands moved on its own, clinging on his arm. It was so warm. It was the sweetest feeling she ever felt. Nothing mattered but that moment, only she and him. But then she suddenly felt him slowly move and the kiss was getting deeper.

'You'll see. Once Oppa get what he wants from her, he'll drop her like hot potato.' Na Young's voice echoed out of nowhere and it woke her up from that sweet dream.

As if hit by lightning, she pushed him away. Tears were trekking down her face. Fear and insecurity flooding her thoughts.

Shock, disbelief, frustration and worry were showing on his face one after another. He looked at Belle who seemed to have been shocked at what have happened as well.

"Belle. I-... I'm sorry," Keun Suk whispered. He tried to reach her but the moment his hands touched her arms, she stiffened and the hairs on her nape shoots up. Her eyes were clouded by the tears that continued to fall. She was shaking and was breathing heavily. He was getting a little panicky.

"Belle are you ok. Please... talk to me... Did I do something wrong? I'm sorry," his voice was shaking.

Oppa... Oppa... I am sorry... She cried in her mind. I am so afraid right now. I am so sorry... I wanted to be with you... I wanted to hold you and kiss you... but I can't... I am sorry.

Her heart was breaking. She couldn't take the pain anymore. Why am I so weak... Keun Suk Oppa.... I am so lucky that you chose to look at me and love me but... I am sorry, I don't think I am the right girl for you. You don't need someone as weak hearted as me... I love you so much... I was happy loving you from a far, but I never realize loving you like this, its overwhelming. I am so afraid, Keun Suk Oppa....

Even in her mind she continued to cry. The pain she was feeling felt like its ripping her heart in pieces.

Keun Suk didn't know what to do. He just held Belle in his arms. Hugged her so tight making her feel how much he cares for her. He continued chanting his 'I'm sorry's and I love you's'.

For a while, he was so surprised he had no idea what he should do. When she started shaking and breathing heavily it felt like she was having an attack or something. He couldn't contain in his heart to see Belle like that. It pains him so much.

God, what have I done, he felt frustrated.

He have no idea what he had done. She was laughing at him but at that moment she just looked so beautiful. Hearing her laugh made him lost it. He couldn't control himself and just went on and kissed her. He felt her touch him and it motivated him to kiss her deeper but he don't know what went wrong, she pushed him and started crying. She looked like she was hurting so much.

When her shaking and sobs subsided, he kissed her head once more and whispered 'I'm sorry Belle'.

"I'm sorry Belle. I didn't mean to force myself on you... please believe me if I say I really do respect you..."

"It's not your fault Oppa," she said smiling weakly. "I was surprised but I-... I think it was the after effects of what happened at the club earlier. I am sorry Oppa. I am sorry," she said, bowing her head non stop.

"No Belle. Please," he cupped her face. Her eyes, ears and cheeks were all red. She looks so sad.

"Sorry I made you worry Oppa."

His heart felt the heaviest at that moment. He could feel that she is hiding something from him. He could feel her pain and it breaks him that she is hiding it from him. He wants to be part of her happiness and her pain, to get to know her more, laugh and cry with her. He wants to be her strength when she is weak, he wants her to need him like that moment.

"Oppa..." she whispered. It was so weak he barely heard it. "Tomorrow, there is a place I really wanted to go..." she turned and looked at him, a feeble smile on her lips but it didn't reach her eyes, "Will you take me?"

He kissed her head and looked in her eyes. A smiled formed on his lips. "I will."
