Chapter 35: Goodbye's and Hello's

AN: Again, in the story, JKS will enlist in active military service and not in alternative service,  after all this fanfiction. 😘

The day of the enlistment came. Eels have their hearts ready for that day but it was still painful to see him leave, the thought of not being able to see his smile or hear his voice is so depressing and that day eels from all over the world gathered to send him off, one last time.

Keun Suk arrived at the training center together with his manager and parents and the moment his car was seen approaching, media people and fans have hurriedly gathered around to meet him.

"Keun chan! Keun chan!" asked one reporter, she was talking while hurrying alongside Keun Suk, "Everyone wants to know, is Belle coming today before you enlist? We were really surprised when she suddenly went back to the Philippines a few days ago, so is she coming?"

"Keun Suk, we have seen her interview, congratulations..." he heard one reporter said.

"Do you have wedding plans after your enlistment? We know it's still a bit far but I am sure your fans would want to know about that," asked another.

"Isn't she coming to see you off today?"

"Are the rumors true that you have finally proposed to her?"

Keun Suk found himself stopping in his tracks. Gun sama looked at him and ushered him to continue walking, silently telling him not to say a word but he just stood there, camera's all over his face, media people and fans looking at him, waving, smiling and some even have lonely expression on their faces, must because he is leaving. He took a deep breathe, faced everyone and smiled.

"Belle and I..." he started, "we have decided to end things."

Shock registered from everyone's faces. His securities were next to him faster than the media who drew even closer to him shoving the microphones to his face. Fans around him started murmuring as well, they all have mixed expressions.

"Why? What happen?" that's what he heard from everyone.

"Keun chan, why? She looked so in love with you during the interview? Both of you are so in love. Why?"

"Sometimes, love is not enough for two people to stay together," he said as calmly as he can. "Sometimes too, love is not enough to heal wounds especially when those wounds were caused by love itself. We both have been selfish. We tried to fight off everything but in the end we hurt the one we love. It was a shared decision to set each other free. They say time will heal all wounds... I hope it does..." he added.

"You still look so much in love with her. Your fans will be very sad. After your service, are you going to win her back?"

He found himself smiling and looked at the sky, "Only time will tell..." he said and then waved everyone good bye.

"Come back soon, Keun chan... We are waiting," he heard everyone chanting.

"Belle," called Kurt as he walked towards her who had been standing absentmindedly on the deck for the past 15 minutes.

In front of them was lushes of green with golden orange break of dawn and the sun peering behind mountains. If he was a painter, he was sure to have painted that beautiful view with Belle as his masterpiece but he isn't, he only know how to make music and that moment, he was singing to the tune of that one unforgettable summer time where love was felt, hearts got broken, fun was experienced, new meetings and partings, and lessons were learned. It was fun while it lasted.

A few days ago, Keun Suk arrived at the studio looking like a torn man more than ever. He just suddenly stormed into the studio making everyone stunned as he slammed the door open and shouted at everyone to go out. The staff were horrified, they all went out quietly, as fast as lightning and when everyone was out he just suddenly broke down and cried.
