Chapter 24: Close your eyes... I'll be there

"What are you doing?" Keun Suk asked, he looked appalled.

"Why? Why do you look like you did such a disgusting thing?"

He continued to look at her still with shock.

"I love you, Oppa."

"No! No, I mean, I love you too Na Young but... its not on the romantic side. I've always seen you as a sister to me, to us, to Kurt and the other guys."

"Why?" she asked, feeling like the whole world has crashed against her. That moment she felt so little. She was never afraid of anything, but when it comes to the person she love she just feel so afraid of being rejected, of being not enough... again. She wanted to cry, she wanted but she couldn't... she shouldn't. "Why are you looking at me like that? Do you hate being kissed by me that much?" she said trying to hide her pain in her smile.

Keun Suk's brows furrowed as if he suddenly had no idea what's happening. She heaved a sigh and nudge him. "What's with that face? I was just kidding. Hey... Did you really think I was serious. Ha ha ha," she said laughing at herself while looking at him still stunned.

Keun Suk continued to look at her with a puzzled expression. Her heart was aching so much... unimaginable pain from being unworthy... lacking, that no matter what she do, she will never be good enough for him. But it still pains her for she couldn't stop liking him. She wanted to comfort him and if only she can, she will turn his heart so he will only look at her but even if he look it was never the same look, the way he look at that girl who hurt him.

She blinked her tears back and in spite the pain, she continued to smile and reached his face and jokingly wiped his lips of her kiss.

"There are you okay now? Gosh. I could laugh at your face, you look like a virgin kissed for the very first time. Its hilarious, ha ha ha," she continued laughing then Keun Suk just suddenly grabbed her in a tight hug.

Keun Suk started sniffing and she knew he was crying, the strong man she had always known became a weak guy because of an unworthy love. She couldn't help but cry for her heart longed to patch up his broken heart but no matter what she do, she will never be good enough for him and she can only cry for her own broken heart as well. It was an utter defeat.

She knew it. She knew how Keun Suk had really felt for her for a long time, but she held onto his heart for she know how fragile Keun's heart is. Someday he'll realized that it was her who had always supported him and never left his side, someday he'll realize that he doesn't need any other woman in his life other than her. Someday for sure.

But she was wrong again. For that unworthy girl came back like nothing happened and just like that she returned to his life and now everything she worked hard for and protected for all those years were being threatened to crumble right before her eyes.
